Non-binary gender pronouns galore! Here I thought you listened to Jordan Peterson, or some form of reason.

Sad to see you don't agree with logic! Must be that MSMDS you got going on.

Political expediency will determine what happens with Trump. If it suits Rubio's numbers to defend Trump, he'll defend Trump. If it doesn't, then he won't. Time will matter with this. The closer we get to the midterms, the more pressure there will be. No one can accurately project what will happen between then and now, but I don't expect Mueller's investigation to be over by then. However, what comes out during that time may make a difference. I just don't know which way it will shift by then.

Recuse: To disqualify or remove oneself as a judge over a particular proceeding because of one's conflict of interest.

He decided that he could not be involved, because he had a conflict of interest. What makes you believe that he would not do the same if Comey had gone to him regarding concern over his conversation with Trump? Further, what makes you believe that if Comey felt he could not get impartial treatment from Sessions office, that he would not take it to the next step?

A question I don't know the answer to: Does the AG even get any control over matters that come to his office from which he has recused himself? Would they not go directly to the next in line?

I deleted the other portion of your post, because I only want to respond to this part. There wasn't anyone in the "Next in Line" position until Rosenstein's appointment was approved. Comey was fired shortly after that, but he did meet with Rosenstein first. Rosenstein was the one that appointed the Special Counsel, as soon as Comey was fired. There are even rumors that Mueller had been going to work for a week before he was actually appointed as Special Counsel. If those rumors are true, then what Comey told Rosenstein was really important.

    1. I don't believe Sessions would have let Comey go elsewhere because Sessions wanted him fired - that much is evident.

    2. I don't know who it goes to next. The WH? You think they would have been impartial? I don't have a clue who it goes to after that.

Again, Comey admitted under oath that no one, including Trump, asked him to close down any investigation.

Prosectorial discreation is used every day all across this country.
If Trump were to ask Comey to shut down an investigation, it would be legal UNLESS there was a fabric of corruption attached to it.
Trump was not under investigation and there is no evidence of corruption as a result of no evidence being found in respect to collusion with the Russians.

And again, Loretta Lynch asked Comey to change the wording about his, "investigation," of Hillary Clinton for political purposes and he complied.
If you want an example of real collusion, this is it. The word smidgen comes to mind.

If he's not prosecuted for releasing government work product, then in civil court, Trump can sue for defamation of character since he basically called him a liar to the American people. Trump is a billionaire and can pay his lawyers and since Comey is a private citizen, force him to spend his own money defending himself in the lawsuit. Even if Trump looses the case, a suit might bankrupt Comey and hurt him financially.

The DOJ and the FBI are attached to the executive branch. Trump already has the authority to stop any investigation and fire the FBI director, even without cause.

So, when Trump fired Comey, it was because Comey wasn't pursuing the, "leaking and unmasking," part of the Russian investigation.

Comey was fired the day after Sally Yates ran her mouth admitting that the FBI had not questioned her about unmasking.

Your post is nonsense. Comey spoke the truth as he sees it and was legally entitled to answer the questions posed to him to the best of his ability. He gave truthful and concise testimony as he experienced it as an ex-FBI agent and attorney. It was scathing because it revealed what most already know about the tactics and the MO of the gangster/swindler POS in The White House.

The point is to hurt him, sue him into bankruptcy. I want Trump to hurt him financially regardless if he wins or not. You can sue anyone for anything. Make Comey regret for taking on the President who has enormous resources while Comey doesn't even have a job.

For what? Mafia style revenge? lol...Trump has zero legal standing on what you are putting forth and it would be thrown out of court on its face. Comey did nothing illegal or that he should regret and most of the American people agree with him so get over your biased fantasy.

No. Mafia style revenge would be the Clinton Cartel method. Punishing your enemies financially differs from homicide. Goldman Sacs style.

The Dersh is right, of course: Concerned Comey quietly asserts that the FBI is an independent agency:

I did not understand the President to be talking about the broader investigation into Russia or possible links to his campaign. I could be wrong, but I took him to be focusing on what had just happened with Flynn's departure and the controversy around his account of his phone calls. Regardless, it was very concerning, given the FBI's role as an independent investigative agency.

Sorry! Nowhere in the Constitution is the FBI (or DoJ) defined as anything other than a part of the Executive Branch. The FBI didn't exist in 1787, and wouldn't for almost a century and a half.

WTF, he has standing, Trump was personally harmed by Comeys words. And only liberal Americans agree with what Comey did and remember there are more of us than you since Trump beat Clinton.

Just What Were Donald Trump's Ties to the Mob? - POLITICO ...
Okay..your turn to present the equivalent on ANY other politician, let alone a so called commander-in- chief.

I do not know of any homicides that any current day politicians have been legally accused and convicted of but birthers do love their conspiracy theories so I get it. Now can you somehow manage stay on the topic of the thread?

Trump quit? Hah! I suspect he'd rather poke his finger in the Senates eye until the Senate quits.

Trump harms Trump because he is a very stupid self-serving swindler and hopefully he will be gone before he does more damage to the country. As a New Yorker, I am familiar with what a ****** bag Trump has been for his entire life and what a joke to see how people defend the guy that would screw them and their grandmas up the ***.

A birther conspiracy theorist posts a conspiracy laden site...what a surprise. I asked you for links to legal charges and convictions. Oh before I forget...you mention Goldman Sachs in your previous post...what about Goldman Sachs?

I think you're right, they've convinced themselves they'll find some truly damning evidence of Trump's treason, and if they can't at least they can obstruct under the pretext they've got to hold him back since something will turn up. Those touted polls showing his low approval ratings and massive popular support for impeachment look suspiciously like the ones these same pollsters were putting out forecasting Hillary's victory by a landslide too.

    No, they don't.
We have these things called "laws"

In order to impeach some one, they have to break the law.

Our system of government does not run on feelings like the liberal looney left.

That would be a dictatorship, or monarchy.

Our system of government works on laws.

    Welcome to the real world.

Be careful what you wish for. If that happens you get President Pence. I'm not Trump's biggest fanboi, but I much prefer him to Pence. I suspect, if you're honest with yourself, you do to.
