Real Wages have more to do with capitalism than policy goals. Private employers do not give out wage increases. If you are lucky and work for a major firm, you might get qualified stock options as the bonus instead of cold hard cash, the way it was in the 1970s and 80s. But a real wage means that any wage increase is not keeping up with inflation and we have had this problem for over 5 decades now.

Then you have student debt and the other expenditures that minerals use their money for in their instant gratification. They may be poor, but the computer and stereo systems are probably top-of-the-line quality that costs a couple of grand totals, along with all the games they are spending on.

In other cultures, like Japan, for instance, staying home after graduating from college while working is considered a norm.

 

Things are certainly changing. These fleeing Californians need to remember that they are refugees not missionaries.

Again, do you know what inflation is? All inflation means is that the demand for goods outweigh the supply of goods. And since no executive branch controls what Suppliers do, this is capitalism, pure and simple.

Highest numbers of single mothers are located in the United States, not Japan. And we have a high divorce rate, nearly 50% overall, higher for second marriages or people who are young and married less than 5 years. The highest adoption rate in the world is in the US and the second highest in Japan. We adopt young, while Japan adopts full-grown adults. And they will adopt only male so that they will have an heir to their name, especially among the most important business leaders in the country.

Women are discriminated against in education and employment all over the world. Japan is still a patriarchial society, although not as much as in the Edo period or even the early and mid-Showa periods. But most Asian societies are like this based on culture, not politics.

Yes, same-sex marriage is banned in Japan, but that is in Japan, not here. But ironically, being gay is now accepted in Japanese culture, to some extent and there are "gay bars" there, along with Maid Cafes, Love Motels, etc. And the Japanese take cleanliness to the next level. Public bathrooms are open when unoccupied, but become clouded when in use.

Japan's immigration policy does have humanitarian relief methods in place, but it is rarely used. Most migrants do not go to japan because of the language and cultural difficulties. Ah hell, even Americans who can speak fluent Japanese can have a very difficult time adjusting to Japanese Culture, which can be very unforgiving in you are living there. US Soldiers stationed in Okinawa and Yokohama are given extensive lectures and detailed pamphlets on what to do and especially not to do when on leave in Japan,.

Who sets productions schedules Zorro? Government or private business? If production does not produce the required resources while demand is continuing to go up, then you will have inflation. And that is private business and called in inflation. All you are doing is trying to blame someone who does not control the economy at all. For wages, private employers set the wages, not government. We have minimum wage, but most minimum wages do not support a family of our in most states. And I am not arguing about increasing minimum wage here, but making the point that private employers set the wage and private employers will only increase the wage up to the amount of inflation.
