The Democrats had more than 4 years of incitement, riots and protests by your logic.

There was election fraud. Trump had a right to contest that. Get over it.

 

Political well being over the well being of the USA.
That is clearly what republican Senators care about. They are not worthy to serve the USA.

There are limits to free speech...as there are to the 2nd amendment. You cannot use language that incites people to commit a crime. You think a Trump lie is protected by his right of free speech, when it incited a mob to attack the Capitol with the intent of doing harm to Pence?

Really, you don't know the lie? How Pence had any legal or constitutional right to change the EC vote totals.

 

His chances of getting convicted even if he deserves to are pretty slim, least ways I wouldn't be putting any money down on it, not even small change. Too many Republican Senators have their eyes on re-election in constituencies where Trump is supported in large numbers. Basically he could have personally lead the charge up the stairs on national television and he'd still get off.

What will be damaging is the repeated broadcast of the prosecution case over the next few months and years, especially if Trump survives all the other legal fights he's in and runs for office again. All reports I've seen indicate that so far it sets out the time line of events and statements made by various parties etc in a very thorough and comprehensive manner and that the graphics and video footage used are pretty damming, at least in terms of Trumps image if not in terms of convicting him.

Will it sway his strongest supporters? No, (pretty much nothing will) but it will resonate with everyone else. In four years time, if he does run for office again I can seem him having to expend an inordinate amount of effort and air time just hosing this one issue down as opposed to dealing with anything new. This case will be a real anchor round his neck.

Jan 6, 2021 weren't decent human beings. They wanted to kill elected officials. And killed a police officer protecting the elected officials.

 

Let's just ban all birthday parties for fear of incitement over not liking the cake.

We are allowed to have gatherings. Nobody could have predicted what was going to happen or that Antifa would show up to shake things up.

Trump had a right to complain about election fraud. Nothing he said leads to storm the Capitol.

 

It's a montage of evidence.

If they are false, then trumps incompetent lawyers can pick it apart.

None of it matters though. There's not enough balls in DC to get 67 votes to convict.

You have a whole summer of protests of Geo Ffloyd.

By all means, provide all the evidence you can muster about politicians encouraging riots and looting.

My guess, is you won't find a single one. But there are hundreds of politicians, so there should be one you could find.

The lie that Pence had the power to return the certified elector ballots. Although to be fair, Trump admitted that that would be breaking the law, but Pence had the right to do that. I'll quote it for you if you like?

The Capitol riot was bad but the left is a bunch of hypocrites to only complain when Republicans (and Antifa) riot.

I see President Trump as a true genius. You have to be a complete idiot to tell to your followers ‘go and break into the Capitol Hill’, and President Trump is not an idiot, he knows what is legal and what is not. He know how smart are his followers, so in order to encourage them to break into the Capitol Hill he said:
“fight much harder”
“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women”
“ you’ll never take back our country with weakness”
“You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”,
“When you catch somebody in a fraud, you are allowed to go by very different rules”.

President Trump knew what will happen, and he knew his crowd so well, that he without any remorse told to them :
“So we are going to--we are going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue…”

Of course he didn’t want to break the law, he let his supporters to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue and to break the law while hide in the White House. And the best – he didn’t pardon any of his supporters who broke into the Capitol Hill.
President Trump was right when he said he can kill a person on the 5th Ave and will not lose a vote – he betrayed his supporters, but they still will vote for him. His supporters even claim he didn’t incite them! GENIUS!

 

Yes all have that right.

One doesn't have a right to incite people to hang Mike Pence for this lie.

Trump told people to hang Mike Pence?

 

This is being played all over the world.
And it is very damning to the former president.

The votes will be seen all over the world and recorded for all of history.

 

The prosecution case being watched all over the world shows a completely different picture than you see.

The evidence presented is very very damning to the former legally voted out incumbent president. 2X impeached.

 

No one said Pence invited them there.
Or anyone else invited them there.
