Many politicians and newspeople are now accusing Trump of treason. why? because he gave comfort to Russia, who in many respects is an enemy of the USA. Trump defended Russia against supported and evidence-backed claims that they tried to influence our election. Trump does NOT accept that the Russian govt. tried to influence our election in any way. Trump does not believe Russia or Russians hacked the DNC or Jon Podesta. Trump does not believe that Russia coordinated with Wikileaks. Trump has defended Russia against all of these truths. Is this treason?
We are not at war with Russia, either in a real war or a proxy war. We are however strong adversaries in trade, foreign policy, Iran, Syria, Ukraine, and other areas. But, I don't thik we should apply the term "enemy" to nations unless we are in a shooting war or a proxy war. Therefore, I'd say that Trump did NOT commit treason, as Russia is not yet a true "enemy". But they sure aint our friends or allies.

I would ask the people (not you necessarily) which of these things should be a death sentence for any person? Trump was correct not to make the so-called meddling the major issue with Russia. Everybody meddles; they meddle, we meddle, every country does if they can. Meddling only became a major left issue when they needed an excuse for Hilary Clinton's election loss, without blaming Hilary or themselves.
