A lot of MSM exposing in the last days. Just to give you a simple example (LINK).

So, what has happened to MSM? Where did integrity go?
Do you trust the MSM? What's your favorite channel - ABC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, Reuters, RT, (you name it)?

No, I don't trust them. I used to somewhat look forward to "news" shows that dealt largely with politics. Now I don't turn them on. I watch only if the TV just happens to be on anyway. Or at least I listen. Sort of. Not on purpose, though. They all read off the same script. It's sickening. They can't read the news without snark and hideously overused words. I take the dog out for her crap rather than watch the media these days.

MSM is 80% entertainment, 10% reasoned opinion, 10% unbiased truth. (truth does not always = fact)

They use the 20% to justify the profits derived from the 80%.

    My favorite channel is OFF
I have turned my TV on twice in the past year. Once during live coverage of the killing of the Dallas police killings (a bit over a year now) and for game 7 of the 2016 world series.

I don't trust any of the hyperliberal "news" media to do anything but lie, distort, manufacture, and manipulate various kinds of propaganda.

Hell, even though I'm a rock-solid Conservative, I don't even trust Fox News completely, mostly because they to IGNORE news items that should be covered in far greater detail.

Strangely enough, one of the best sources for information I've found for news about economic matters is RT News! There's an analyst there named Max Kaiser who is absolutely astounding! You watch his programs on RT about economic topics for about two months and you'll have a REAL understanding about who does what, and why, and how, in our so-called "free-market" economy....

I don't trust RT due to being in Russia, but do find what they say useful from time to time. ABC, CNN and MSNBC are all trash worse than even Fox News.

Reuters is okay and it's what I normally read along with other sources. The WSJ is okay but I don't read them much due to the pay wall they have on most stuff. I would read it more if they had a way to view free with ads. I read the Atlantic when I want to know what the left is thinking and it doesn't disappoint. It was funny as all get out to read them actually defending Trumps goldmen picks. It was like I was reading Fox news not a Liberal everything outlet. But then again I know they are total sell outs, the sad thing is my friend that really likes it and actually put's a great deal of trust in it hasn't figured it out yet.

yes, potatoes are wonderful. fried, baked, roasted, boiled... they are always honest and never promise more than they can deliver. unlike their media counterparts, they work and play well with others and always pull their weight without bias or pretension.

I have somewhat varying degrees of trust in any reporting. I tend towards the more right side such as Fox, Breitbart, and Daily Caller. I don't trust them implicitly though.

I believe that 'The Christian Science Monitor' and 'US News and World Report' are the most trustworthy news organisations out there; with a possible "Honorable Mention" for the 'Financial Times' from London, but I haven't read that one for a while.

The only reporting I trust completely is the complete, unedited video. Just let me see and hear what the guy really said; not what some reporter says he said.

C-Span is the only source available to find out what people actually say. Anything else is filtered, condensed, and spun. I even see reporters who are obviously supportive of the politician being reported on, fail to understand what the guy says, and therefore get the story all wrong.

If I can hear the guy's entire speech, I can catch the message and see where he used a wrong word and filter it out myself. Some in the media try to use a misstatement as a "gotcha" moment they can quote out of context, rather than report the overall message.

Unless we see the full, unedited video, we are at the mercy of the news organization.

I trust them only as far as I can see their interests.

Up here in Canucksville, the MSM are still a bit old-fashionned when compared to the US', meaning that they take pride in observing their journalist's ethical code.

That doesn't prevent the fact that skilled editors can arrange the news in the MSM's favour by diminution, omission or the place the said news will take in the presentation. Will it be sandwiched between two of the opposing side, or given the cover?

Since the MSM have gotten so big, they have interests they can invest in, like very entreprise would. Among these "investments" are our elected leaders, mind you.

You are confused. The msm are abc, cbs, and nbc. Then there are the cable channels. Of those, only Fox tries not to be part of the msm liberal counter culture. Cnn and msnbc are the exceedingly liberal offspring of their liberal daddies, the msm.

I tend to review multiple sources to evaluate the validity of news. Over time and experience this does tend to instill faith in some and distrust in others. This "Fake News" mantra being spewed by the worst creators of it and a man who simply lies blatantly is almost as sad as the American citizens who swallow the hook and smile while they choke on it.

Since the FOX shakeup, FOX has become more like the liberal MSM.

FOX cannot be trusted - way too many lies. More than that, they are very manipulative with their selective reporting.

The other MSM may appear to be anti-Trump on the surface, but this is only because Trump 's actions are so full of lies and deceit. They report the news. If Trump lies, they report it, and they report it as a lie.

Fo卐 - biggest media liars anywhere. Breitbart is # 2. Trusting them is like trusting Dr Goebbels and his Ministry of Propaganda.

No more than MSNBC or CNN. Mainstream media goes for ratings, not truth.

Fogoes for ratings even more. That is why they always employ beautiful white female reporters who wear short skirts, display lots of knees, and wear open toed spike heels. Note how the camera man always shows plenty of all that.

You can't be taken seriously when you try to say that Fox News is reporting pro-Nazi material.

    What's with you today?

Strange how posting the truth constitutes ''pro-Nazi material".

Funny how when the forum right wingers used to call President Obama a communist and Marxist that was OK. Double standards, much??
