Domestic Terrorists are getting Guns

Well if you look at from a safety stand point, keeping the guns from progressive will save progressive lives! Just think how many will accidently shoot their buddies and themselves

 

I didn't say anything about not wanting someone to have a gun. I just remarked how some of these wannabe principled progressives who want to restrict and/or ban guns suddenly go out and get guns when there is a Republican President in the White House. Like I said, they don't really stand for anything except winning elections.

 

Righties buy guns because they are fun and it is permitted by the second amendment.

Lefties don't find fun in anything so this is much ado about nothing.

 

It didn't lower violent crime in the UK.

There are 30,000 deaths a year in the US due to guns. 2/3 of those are suicides.

Why are so many people worried about the 10,000 who are killed and not the 20,000 who commit suicide? The bigger problem is suicide, not guns.

My experience is that marriage is killing more people than guns. Middle-age men are killing themselves in droves. I was almost one of them.

In the British army we use the SA80, which is not the greatest around, we hated it in ‘The Troubles’ in Ireland. I believe I have fired the AR15 and certainly the M1 Garand.
Incidentally your logistics used to support your troops are second to none. The British politicians equip our army on a shoe string; it’s really criminal in what they send our guys out to do with absolute crap. Would you believe a father had to buy a flack jacket in the UK for his son serving in Afghanistan.

Yep, and I've made that argument for years. They view things like integrity and consistency as potential hindrances to their goal of gaining political power, so they abandon those concepts. When an opportunity for their party and ideology to gain power comes around, they can't spend time worrying about how hypocritical they would appear if they suddenly did a 180 on a position, so they just move on and act like they never held any other position but the one they have that day.

There are a few honest and consistent liberals out there who you can at least respect for that reason alone, but they are seem to be in the minority in that party.

Can you tell us why you think this way? I ask this in a non-aggressive, non-confrontational manner. Personally I am neutral to slightly positive on my view towards the NRA and I am always curious as to why some people think differently. You seem to have real conviction in what you believe.

 

And yet, in a nation with three hundred to five hundred million firearms currently in circulation, and approximately forty thousand more being added to circulation daily, the number of deaths attributed to firearms remains, for all intents and purposes, statistically minute. Perhaps you can elaborate on just how that is?

 

Trump supporters must love that so many model citizens are exercising their 2nd Amendment rights.
