But the investigation in to the corruption may be problematic. http://www.businessinsider.com/trumps-charity-foundation-shutting-down-2017-11 The foundation has already admitted to "self dealing." A polite term for skimming profits off the charitable giving of others. No wonder President Bone Spur wants to make dubious allegations about the Clinton Foundation. http://www.politifact.com/punditfac...at-pundit-clintons-get-no-personal-benefit-f/
Alrighty then, fresh meat. Snip from the article: Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's campaign fired off a response to the Post story soon after it was published.
I applaud you Trumpites for not calling the story of Don's foundation's self dealing "fake news." But it doesn't explain the hypocrisy of harping on unproven allegations regarding the Clinton Foundation.
I realize I'm going to have my head handed to me by Trumpites for using Media Matters as a source. That's how you roll. But here's the thing. You really can't dismiss the source without factually refuting what they say. https://www.mediamatters.org/resear...us-errors-fabrications-and-distortions/203480
The Trump Foundation was being investigated because Trump was stealing money from the foundation in order to pay for his legal fees over the fraud charges against Trump University, as well as in order to buy a number of Marble busts of himself in order to place in his hotels and other places. He was caught stealing the money and when he attempted take the cost of the busts and legal fees off his taxes. The IRS looked at the records and discovered the source of the money was illegal embezzlement of charity funds. This is why the IRS prevented Trump from closing the foundation during his campaign. Trump claimed that he was trying to do so in order to prevent it from becoming a conflict of interest. The IRS claimed that he had no authority to close the organization because it was in the midst of a criminal investigation, and they didn't trust that he or his employees would not destroy incriminating documents during the closure. Trump being worried about conflicts of interest is a joke on it's own. The fact that he still owns the Trump Corporation, and that his immediate family runs the company, is a major conflict of interest, on multiple levels, that he doesn't seem too worried about.
