Ok then, let's address the real reason the stock market tanked: banks and loans, specifically credit card and home loans.

It's something the globalist Bush implemented, and the globalist Obama continued.

Just for your information, I'm not a Bush sycophant, nor a Republican, so the typical sports team back and forth isn't going to work here.

No matter how you slice it, Obama's policies of making those banks even stronger at the expense of America's middle-class have only made things worse. Our economy (or lack thereof) shows that clearly for the last 8 years.

Providing loans to people that can't afford them is something Obama has always championed.

But that does not negate the fact that stock market investors made a lot of money...unless they were complete idiots.

That's where this discussion ends for me. Clearly, you feel the need to blame something, anything Obama even though the numbers do not support it. I did find it funny that when faced with the growth numbers of Obama's presidency, the best you could come up with is "well, it's not enough growth."

As far as the crash is concerned, far too many entities from both sides of the spectrum can be blamed. In the end, it's greed which neither party is immune to.

I am not attributing it to Obama, you are the one blaming him and fawning over Trump. I made the point that, historically, the stock market didn't care whether a Dem or Republican was president. Yet, the data doesn't stop the Trump fans attributing good news to trump and bad news to Obama -- and kill their stock portfolio by buying high and selling low.

That's fine, I know you know where I was going.

    That's enough for me.

If I were you, I wouldn't want to touch it with a 10 foot pole either.

Sure, at the expense of all those people that lost their homes, and then Obama made the tax payers bail the banks out again.

Double profit for them on the backs of the working class.

Sorry to resurrect the old thread.

However, the Dow Jones has now gone sideways or down since more than a month.

What happened to the "Trump" rally? Has it already run out of good feelings, which are supposedly going to result in the greatest economy ever?

Stocks have everything to do with the President…

Until it has nothing to do with the President…

You realize Trump is not President and his policies are not in effect yet, right?
