He is throwing back the idea that saying anything negative about a Black man is racist ( aka what the Progressives have been chanting since 2009)

Seems you dont like the idea when it is you and not some "right wing" person eh?

You do not have o mention color. Dr. Carson is black, therefore any criticism of him is racist by association. Get used to it.

an absurdist view obviously predicated on the fact that a fair % of criticism of obama is of racist motivation which severely diminishes the effectiveness of legitmate criticism and frustrates the hell out of many republicans.

Oh really, Let's take a look at the facts here. I simply stated that there were far worse things that have happened in the United States than Obamacare. I aslo used an analogy that Dr. Carson referenced toward slavery. You came running and started labeling me a racist or use racism when I disagreed with Dr. Carson's statement. You then try to project me as a "progressive" and never understanding where my disagreement originated. I disagreed with Dr. Carson's statement, not the man or his race.

And I have respect for Dr. Carson as a neurosurgeon and it is the same respect that I have for Mitt Romney as a businessman. However, what Dr. Carson stated was wrong since there have been far worse things than Obamacare. That does not mean that Obamacare is fine, perfect, or helping, nor does it mean that I agree totally with Obamacare, it simply means that there are far worse things than Obamacare that has happened in this country.

    Mod edit, flounder

Then I would say that context in a conservation is not your strong point. Disagreeing with anyone on their comments is not racist, or derogatory, nor bigoted. Using the person's race may be, but it depends on the context and specific words one uses. Making blank statements that Dutch is suggesting is not a good way to have a conversation. \

but then again, if you want to use carte blanche labels on people using guilty by assoicaiton, then it should also apply to you. Would you agree?

No. But because racism is clearly alive and well in this country, all criticism toward black Dr. Carson is racist, and must be squelched immediately.
