This mutant should have been hung a long time ago, they should cremate him and throw his ashes into a sewer

Edgar Ray Killen Dies; Klansman Behind Civil Rights Workers' Murders In 1964

Edgar Ray Killen, the former Ku Klux Klansman responsible for a notorious civil rights era murder, has died in a Mississippi prison. Killen orchestrated the killings of three Freedom Summer workers in Neshoba County, Miss. in 1964, a crime that shocked the nation and acted as a catalyst for passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The state corrections department says Killen died at 9 p.m. Thursday night at the Mississippi State Penitentiary. He was 92 years old and was serving a 60-year sentence for manslaughter in the killings of civil rights workers James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner.

    Killen, a part-time preacher

and lumber mill operator, was 80 when a Neshoba County jury of nine white people and three black people convicted him of three counts of manslaughter on June 21, 2005, despite his assertions that he was innocent. Prosecutors said Killen masterminded the slayings, then went elsewhere so he would have an alibi.

"Preacher Killen did not act in a vacuum and the members of the Klan who were members of the police department and the sheriff's department and the highway patrol didn't act in a vacuum,"

I am surprised Trump hasn't ordered the flag on the White House lowered to half mast.

Yup. He should have been hung wearing greasy soles, leg weights, and a 26-wrap noose (double normal). But I'm glad he didn't die a free man.

If no one claims the body other prisoners will bury him in a prison pauper grave.

Why would a thread be dedicated to a Democrat racist who was a member of the militant arm of the Democratic party (KKK) back in 1964 ?

My observations are if you want to live into your 80's or even into your 90's, go to prison and the taxpayers will see you live a long life.

Well, most people are smart enough to realize that the KKK in the 60's was a nationalist, conservative movement, and Killen was a supporter of the Nationalist Movement. Sorry your education failed you so badly. Never too late to give third grade critical thinking another crack though.

The KKK was Democrat, as was this dead guy. The Jim Crow Laws were devised and enforced by Democrats, as was segregation. It remained that way until people became better educated though, of course, there still are pockets of ignorance where these facts apparently remain unknown.

    Let's have a look.

In your short sentence you have singularised me with your 'speak for yourself' but immediately collectivise your own beliefs with a 'we'. That's a psychological trick to make you feel more powerful. It's bulked you up, you have a collective on your team, I am alone. By this sly tactic (which you're unaware you do) you offer up the perfect platform from which to persecute. Fascism 101.

Would you prefer if I say I know the left are the new fascists? That works for me too.

Come on, give President Shithole a chance; he's been awful busy lately naming all the shithole countries in the world; he'll get the flag lowered eventually.

Yep. You can be right or wrong but you will maintain personal responsibility and integrity.

    "I believe..." maintains personal responsibility.

"We believe..." is collective responsibility provided the 'we' is named.

"we believe..." minus the named offloads responsibility to some unknown other.

Best plan is always to make "I" statements and hoover up the opprobrium and hatred which follows.

Anyhow, offloading responsibility with a 'we' is definitely a fascist tactic. :)
