I heard one story about two parents who spent tens of thousands of dollars to send their daughter to a private Catholic university, and then after she graduated they discovered that the professors there had turned their daughter into an atheist.
It wasn't actually as "Catholic" of an environment as the parents had assumed.

Sure, there are jerks everywhere. I'm talking of regular non-jerkish people who have social skills and a sense of what is appropriate and polite to say to someone when you are in THEIR country.

There are 3.7m K-12 teachers in this country and you can always find instances where teachers do something stupid. So what?

Anyway, there's no evidence students were made to feel guilty in British Columbia.

There is a long history of BC teachers working through anti-racism instruction in their classrooms. Any teacher who promoted the idea white kids should feel guilty because they're white could find themselves out of a job.

Have you acknowledged your privilege and racist attitudes?

You're not in full contact with the real world if you think just 1% of white people discriminate against blacks. Hell, you be just as out of it if you thought only 1% of black people are prejudiced against whites, or Latinos, or Asians.

I don't think any of the poison is a yuk. It does a huge amount of damage to the country. Black people aren't genetically criminals, so all this crime associated with blacks is a product of our overall sick society. (No, I don't blame just white people.)

I'm not an Obama fan, but he did get a lot of black folks to stop talking bad grammar slang like "He done it!"

I believe that 100% of White people are prejudiced against blacks, and vice versa. Humans are genetically hardwired to prefer their own race.

But less than 1% march around with Confederate flags

I'm not a racist, so I'm not going to pretend I am. Do white folks have "privilege?" Of course.

Do I recognize black people are often treated unfairly, even sometimes to the point of being killed? Yes. Is it BS for black people to have to look over their shoulder all the time? You bet. Is it okay for them to be sick of it? Yes. Angry? Yes. Do I know what it's like to live that way? No, of course not. Am I prepared to push on society to do better by black folks? Yes. I am and I have.

Am I a racist because I'm white? No. Am I sexist because I'm a man? No. Do I support women pushing for their rights? Yes. Should women have to worry about their safety because men might hurt them? No, absolutely not.

    You get the idea.

Yes. You suffer from White Fragility:

Racism has been detected in 3-month olds.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2021/mar/4/racist-3-month-olds

Theoretically, this idea is supported by Dawkins selfish gene theory. People are more benevolent to those with whom they share genes.

What is your evidence to the contrary.

    That's not racism. Sheesh.

Civilized people don't have to be racist, nor men think it's okay to sexually assault women, and so on. You can approach your life with some ethical foundations or risk being ostracized if you don't.

The ethical foundation is built on education. As we grow to adulthood, we learn about other people, especially other races and cultures given we live in a multiracial, multicultural society.

So what is this, we as white people must accept collective responsibility for the evils of white elites of the past and can accept none of the achievements of white elites of the past. In what world does that seem rational?

You said my ancestors had it easy. Unbelievable. I sat and watched both my grandfather's carve the callouses off their hands with a jack knife. They worked on their farms from dawn to dusk (and after) from the age of 5 until well into their 70s.. both of them. No vacations and only a half day off on Sundays for church. If you call hard manual labor of 70+ hours a week while living without electricity or indoor plumbing (in a civilization lacking a social safety net) "blithely walking through life", I really can't help you. What amazed me about my grandfathers was their cheerfulness. They lived through conditions that most of the weak and ineffectual males of today could never even imagine, they ate it up and they smiled.

I have no problem with you disparaging the boomers and the generations that followed them as stupid, lazy, evil, narcissistic and increasingly useless. When you start besmirching generations that I consider far far greater than ours, it really does piss me off. The people of my generation are not fit to shine the shoes of my grandfather's generation. There is a reason that the zenith of America is in our past and the reason is looking each of us in the mirror every morning.

And yet that hasn't worked. I have seen for over 50 years many exhortations to not be racist. I saw busing to integrate the schools, but yet the schools are more segregated than they were in the '50s. Residential segregation has declined but is still high, especially for blacks. Whites have all the money and the power.

This needs an explanation. Mine is that humans are naturally racist.

    What is yours?

Wow, what a stero typical racist statement that diminishes hardships and trials and tribulations all races have endured. Clearly, based on the statement above, you have been successfully indoctrinated by such programs.

A class assumes ignorance. They need to be educated. They don't. That's the point. This is all nothing more than an attempt and indoctrinating people to believe that they are unknowingly racist and the only way to fix this is to educate them about systematic racism and their contribution to it. It's all BS.

The problem, the left has approached this issue from a manipulatistic perspective. White people are racist, and they don't know it, so they can't even baulk at the claim that they need to be "educated".

In short, it's just a whole lot of pandering and playing games from the left to resolve problems that don't exist while simultaneously making people out to be racist.

Let's take your analogy a step further.

Let's say it's in regards to reading literacy. Let's say your kid had trouble and has worked very very hard on improving their literacy. Their grades have improved, they have made accomplishments.

The way the Right says to approach that situation is by saying:

"You're doing really good things, you should be proud of yourself. Think about how far you have come, and that your hard work has paid off. If you keep it up, you will be reading 2 grade levels above your class".

Here is how the left approaches the situation:

"You shouldn't have fallen behind in the first place. Now, you need to work hard to keep up. Look at Johny over there, he is already reading 2 grade levels ahead. You should really strive for that"

People are less racist than they were even twenty years ago. Someone may have been listening.
It will pass when racists lose power. They will, too, and soon as the demographics are changing.
The racism is a product of the society.

And yet I keep hearing about the growing threat of White Supremacists.
How will changing demographics result in less segregation? The Whites still have enough money to keep away from the other minorities.

The racists are fewer in number, but more violent.
The changed electorate will force the pols to dismantle the system that works against minorities.
    Some whites, not most.
