Field Marshal Tantawi gave a talk to the army telling them that we do not invade other countries but the wrath of Egypt will be on any aggressor or invader to our land. Egypt will not ask anyones permission IF it thinks there is a threat to deploy as many troops as they want into Sinai. Source TV News This is what I like. SCAF ratifying bills discussed in parliament even though it means ex Mubarak orphans are targeted. This is what I like and Egypt wants. Our army to stop being politicans and back to being our army and defence and security. This is what Egypt needs a strong army that makes strong statements because if you are weak and lie down in front of aggressors they will walk over you with their boots. BUT because of this Egypt will now be seen as another Iran by aggressive countries because it wants to defend itself from invasion and attack. The foreign propaganda machine is being oiled but I dont care. Every countrys people has the right to defend its country. Every legal country in the world that follows International law. Every country has the right to defence and to resist occupation by foreign forces. We are a friendly people a non aggressive people a proud people and we will not be pushed around ever again. Israel better take heed that Egypt is 90 million people not an office of Mubaraks family and friends now. For it's own safety
That's sweet Abu, but When did Israel "push' Egypt?, the last terror attack from YOUR border targeted Israeli civilians and many died so don't twist it to an Israeli attempt to take over Egypt, we use trained sharks for that remember? If Egypt needs to sort the mess in Sinai with its military it will, as done before, notify Israel how many troops it sends, last time you sent troops according to an Israeli request, as long as both countries agree we don't have a problem and you can pee all over Sinai to mark your territory as you please, we don't care how you build up your confidence just don't do it on our backs, no threats required here.
Sounds like Hitler, the treaty of Versailles and the Reichswehr marching into the demilitarised zone in the Rhineland. Tantawi is obviously positioning himself as Egypt's strongman with typical strongman's tough talk appealing to the likes of you Abu. If our PM said something like breaking legs of anyone she'd be out of office on the spot. You're not doing too well learning about democracy.......
