So many on here claim you can’t use a gun in self defense properly as a regular citizen. Here’s one where the bad guys had those scary assault weapons and the shop owner had a lowly old shotgun. Guess which one won. Just more proof that it’s better to own a gun and carry it rather than not.

if democrats passed gun control guess which one would run in their guns. It wouldn’t be the criminal and they would have easier targets

I saw this yesterday and thought the same thing. Gun haters don’t listen to reason, they’ll pretend this isn’t exactly why we need our 2A intact.

For all the gun haters out there, there is one major problem, that there are already millions of illegal guns already out there. Take away our right to defend ourselves with the reduction in police would equal open season for criminals to commit more violent crimes like we see in Chicago and other similar cities. You cannot make illegal guns or the criminals that use them just disappear. It is too late to change.

no one claims that, people claim that guns can be both good and bad, you have to weigh that risk yourself

if one can't control their temper, has children that may harm themselves or others, all that needs to be taken into account

did the store owner have an ar-15? that seems to be the gun people want to be harder to buy, not banned, just harder to buy

would you feel safer if everyone carried an ar-15 in public?

There is from extreme sides of the argument. There are people who believes that all guns should be off the streets. One is on this very forum

Why concentrate on the defender? What type of weapon did the would be attackers use? Looks like you missed the important part of the event ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think this shows that you don't need a machine gun for self-defense. That's my take home.

Machine guns are already banned in the U.S. Well except to the criminals that view laws as simply suggestions ;)

Who are you kidding. There's a thousand and one ways to own a machine gun in the US.

I have several friends who own machine guns. They collect guns.

Pay the feds and one can legally own a machine gun.

After extensive background checks and finger printing checks through the international database. Then the gun has to be older than 1986, then state laws come into play, in some you can't own if you get past all the above. Way more than paying the feds for sure.

So is machine guns the topic here, or is it something you are using to derail it?

I don't think there are many people saying you may not use a gun in self defense.
And if there is nothing wrong with the store owner, they would be able to obtain a gun with tough gun control laws.
While it's the criminals who get a hard time obtaining one.

And that's what the GOP never seems to take into account. All them criminals having all these weapons.
They are doing nothing to prevent them from obtaining those weapons.

    Not even remotely accurate

And oddly, all these criminal gun owners live in DNC ghetto's in our inner cities!
Clearly California and east L.A. is a GOP stronghold LMFAO :)

Machine guns are actually legal in the US. Ditto cannons etc.

    https://machinegunbrokers.com/

Putin has proven RPGs may be necessary for self defense. Machine guns would just be an expensive maintenance nightmare.

The voters trust the democrats far more with policies tryin to prevent criminals from obtaining weapons.
And this trust has been around for quiet some time.

You might want to wonder why hardly any criminal is using a weapon with full auto, and as good as always end up showing up with these semi's.

    Voters are always right.

Gun control laws do nothing to prevent criminals from obtaining weapons.
Instead they encourage criminals to arm themselves.

Hard to comment when you don't quote the claims you refer to.

I never heard anyone say you can't use a shotgun in self defense.

This incident happened in California which is a State claimed to have uber-strict gun laws.

The military took the full auto selector switch off the M16 because troops using full auto tend to miss the target. Most criminals, like most combat infantry, have no practical use for full auto.

National gun laws in all kinds of similar countries work by showing the gun violence is like 10 times lower compared to the US.
Somewhat tough gun laws in Chicago/Illinois only make it so that criminals get their weapons from other states who aid them.
So what you say isn't true.

If it was true. It would mean far more criminals would have weapons with full auto.
But hardly to no criminal has those. This shows it takes national policies to curb it all.

Those countries don't already have millions of weapons around, so once again that idea is a massive failure.
