Here's an interesting article on how to get elected:

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/05/politics/scandal-congress-digital/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

From the article, one example of several:

And of course, he won at least partly because he is "pro-life". This is the election in a nutshell, because pro-life politicians won resounding victories all over the country, because they oppose abortion -- except for their own situations. THEN, well, see, that's different. People do not elect individuals, they elect icons -- people who symbolize what they think they want, regardless of what they actually do.

But as these elections illustrate, it's image that matters. Obama has the image of having done a poor job. Republicans have been doing all they can for the last six years to create that image, and they have clearly succeeded. Vote unanimously against every proposal, blame the incumbent for not accomplishing anything.

Obama also must shoulder much of the blame here. He had visions of being a bipartisan statesman and a leader, and pursued those visions despite steady in-your-face demonstration to the contrary. He could have proposed applehood and mother pie, the Republicans would vote unanimously against it (even if it was word-for-word a plank from their own platform), and Obama would be blamed for not getting it done.

Here in Alabama, there were actual Democrats running for all but about 25 offices (where Republicans ran unopposed), but they did not dare identify themselves as Democrats, and campaigned on the issues. Didn't matter on the ballot, of course. If you've got that (R) next to your name, it really doesn't matter if you're in prison for raping children. The Democrats have had six years and all they have to show for it is, well, a vastly improved economy, low unemployment, record stock markets, a tiny deficit that would shame any Republican President for the last 50 years.

Ah, but those details aren't what matters. IMAGE is what matters. Visions and dreams matter. Ideals matter. And beyond any possible doubt, the Republicans won the image wars this midterm. They've proved themselves to be better politicians. So we get the chance to see if the anti-your-abortion, pro-my-abortion Republican can be a good legislator. Cross our fingers.

Thank you for that textbook depiction of propagandist delusion. Bravo! You have exceeded your masters wildest expectations.

    Why you can't trust CNN:

Only in Libtopia can a 13% win be referred to as a narrow win.

    Pretty much.

It says a lot about how extremely horrible the democrats are if a guy like this can waltz to victory. The democratic party has basically destroyed themselves with their far left agenda. If they do not come to the center they may find themselves not existing as a party anymore. They may go the route of the Whig party.

Obama's done a LOT worse than just "poor". He's an active disaster. Why stop with letting in all the Mexicans? lets have the Chinese and Indians here, too. Let's have standing room only, morons! Let's turn this place into a sewer, too, the way those people have done their own countries!

Attention OP: An 8,000-word screed is not a 'nutshell.'

    You're welcome.

Tiny deficits? I'd hate to see what liberals think is a large deficit.
