I'm in an engineering class, and we have to create a (mini) historical seige weapon. I'm not completely sure where I can find research (sketches, pictures, terms, definitons, concepts, and websites in general). I also am not sure which seige weapon should be used. We've looked at quite a few as a class ranging from the ballistae to the catapult. Our Task is to build one of these weapons and destroy a wall with it. We haven't been told more then this so far, and will need to research thoroughly. Any ideas? I'm open to most suggestions. I'm just not sure which weapons are the most effective, and/or easiest to make. I also need to know how to predict the amount of force/power my weapon will produce. Thanks for the time.

    Id go with a ballista.

Easiest to build, and probably has the highest propability of bringing down that wall.
