As an Evangelical Christian, this has been one of my favorite areas of study because of the hope promised by God for His redeemed. Plus this has given me a rather keen awareness to current events and how they tie in with the writings of Daniel, Ezekiel, John, and Jesus Himself. What I want to look at in particular is what is described in Revelation 6 as the "First Seal" or the "White Horse". John talks about a White Horse and the rider of the horse had a bow in hand and was given a crown to be a "conqueror bent on conquest" (Rev. 6:2). This describes a world leader who will be charming, persuasive and charismatic, will bring about a "peace" between the Arabs and Israel, who will command respect from the entire world populace, who's governmental system will abolish all currency in favor of some form of scan technology (RFID, anyone?), and who will martyr all who oppose him. Now, Scripture doesn't exactly say where he will originate, except if you look at Nebuchadnezzer's dream, Daniel spoke of the statue's feet/legs being of "iron and clay" meaning the Roman Empire. All of the Empires except the Roman, have been completely destroyed. Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece. My gist here is the One World Dictator originates from Europe. I'm thinking Russia in particular. What are your thoughts concerning a possible one-world government?
Why? If you look at one thing, and that's the reemergence of Israel as a nation in 1948, that is very crucial in terms of the end times.
A one world government simply isn't possible. Who make the rules we all follow? People are simply too different to fit under one government.
The christians and muslims have your hope of God's redemption. When the majority of the world works for it to happen, it probably will. We create our reality. But it's not as easy as just believing in Jesus or Mohammed...Matthew 7: 20-23 Revelations 20:11-12
