    Life is the decision maker.

The theist in me will tell you the Holy Spirit has a lot to do with it but that is indeed something I cannot bring to the discussion at hand. Don't need to either.

Define "life". Is 'life' a sentient being? Does 'life' have control over the intelligence of man?

The 'theist' in you? Please explain. You speak that phrase in a manner that makes me envision you, and something 'inside' you that is separate from you and seemingly separate from the Holy Spirit, as you suggest that the Holy Spirit might have something to do with "it". I am not attempting to pick an argument with you, but simply trying to clarify what position you are taking relative to the ability to make decisions or exercise free will.

Life - the sequence of physical and mental experiences that make up the existence of an individual

I just meant that because I am a theist, I believe that God is in control of our destiny but I'm not debating from that angle.
