While having a rich parent certainly keeps one a bit more comfortable while young, it takes some combination of brains, savvy, and/or wits to keep it and grow it. Conrad Hilton (brother of Paris) certainly has/had access to plenty of money and yet has blown it on drugs when he's not getting arrested. Trump started with a bunch of money and managed to grow it. Conrad certainly could have done the same, he had the same potential to do so as Trump and yet - ? And while not exactly the same thing, there's whole swathes of celebrities who had tons of money and are now barely scraping by NOT because times change and no one bought their merch but because they weren't smart enough to invest their money and grow what they had.

Trump was able to take what he got and grow it. Whatever else you can say about his self-control issues, especially while on Twitter, he's smart and savvy enough to take it further. And he's the prez, his success can't be argued.
