I'm late to this post, but . . . What do you have to say now that they have in custody the perps, that they are black brothers from Nigeria, and that the whole "terrorist attack" was a charade? Jussie was never in danger of being written off the show and it wasn't even ever discussed according to Empire staff. That makes sense to me because he is so intergral to the show with excellent r & b performances that I've looked forward to seeing every episode. He's arguably the most talented singer on the show (other than V. Bozeman who is in her own league.)

Jussie is also described as the # 3 lead character by Empire (which must mean right behind Cookie and Luscious). His character is an integral part of the relationship dynamics that comprise an important part of the storyline. Empire wouldn't be as appealing without Jussie's character Jamal. The Empire staff knows it. So, he was never in danger of being written off the show.

Next season will go on as scheduled next month, as most if not all of the episodes should already be taped. Jussie has been a rising star with an endearing personality who has been the seen as antithesis of hate. Was it a hoax? I don't know. I've watched the show every season since it's record breaking first season.
