Democrats have this really big urge for instant gratification, and so they only seek to fix what bothers them at the moment. And when this solution creates new problems up the road, they again look for instant gratification and repeat the same mistakes a second time with the new solution.

The unemployment rate in the inner cities is 20-25 percent and there in no way it will become less between now and November.

These people will not vote for Obama like foolishly they did when he ran for president last time.

No matter who you re-elect, you are going to remain in recession. The world is undergoing generational change.

The American system of Government can not and will not work while:

1. Rich speciqal interest groups can purchase the laws they want against the interests of the majority of Americans.

2. The media is owned by Five (6?) major corporations that don't hold politicians to account in the court of public opinion.

The result of this situation is that there is going to be little or no GDP growth that is not financed by borrowing more money. The corporate game is thus about redistributing money away from employees and towards managers and shareholders.

To put that another way; Nobody is growing the pie, they are just fighting each other for a bigger slice of whats left.

I can explain how this arises in more detail if you like.

WIthout GDP growth of at least 3.5% per annum, you cannot absorb the natural increase in labor, let alone reduce the numbers of unemployed.

The general population is going to realise that this situation is permanent in 2013, that is when the riots will start. Neither political party can or will do anything to recover the situation while they are governing for the friends and not the 99%.

Having said that, if there was rational Government in D.C and elsewhere, Americas problems could be a fading memory in less that Ten years.
