Martin was not chased and tackled. He was a 17 YO 140 ;b football player being pursued by an overweight cop wannabe.

Probably Zimmerman followed Martin then, while still in his car, asked Martin to stop. Martin, being a polite kid did. Zimmerman got out of his car and walked over to Martin and asked what he was doing there and Martin said he was going to his dad's house. Zimmerman then told Martin to stay right there because the police were coming. Martin responded by trying walk away and Zimmerman made a move to stop him. The move was probably little more than grabbing his arm but a stranger grabbing a kid? It was enough. Martin hit Zimmerman with an overhand right that knocked him down. Martin stood ready to fight but when Zimmerman pulled his gun Martin screamed for help and Zimmerman shot him.

This is how I think it happened.

Zimmerman reportedly has a different version that has Martin attacking him while he was walking back to his truck.

To get me to believe that Zimmerman has to explain why he got out of his truck and how a person turns from runner to an attacker.

Just listened. And so now it turns out the father admitted it was NOT his sons screams on the 911 call? So now we have both witnesses and the Father saying Zimmerman was the one screaming.

    I'm starting to rethink this.

And yet from what I've seen the witnesses are contradicting you. Even the father admitted the screams on the 911 call were not his son's. So what am I to conclude. you weren't there.

This may be how you THINK it happened, but you are wrong.

Do you just make this stuff up in your head, or what?

Here are my reliable news sources. Where are yours?

I have made it easy for you this time. You don't have to read anything.

All you have to do is listen to a very reliable Orlando news report!

    I don't blame you, Calminian.

When this first happened, I was convinced the Hispanic guy was at fault.

As I dug a little deeper, I discovered things were not as “cut and dried” as I was originally led to believe.

The press obviously has a "bias" and their bias came through in their original reporting of this incident.

    That is just not true.

Gansters wear "colors"...if you're gonna be afraid of someone for what they're wearing...be afraid of a group of young men are all wearing the same color.

Hoodies by themselves mean nothing!!!........I have literaly dozens of black friends at work who wear hoodies, and are perfectly law abiding citizens without police records.

What is it coming to when you can just shoot people because they match the description, or are wearing the same clothes as, someone you're afraid of?

Actually all it does to my theory is change who screamed.

    Assuming it was Zimmerman then...

    1. Zimmerman got knocked down and in a panic screamed and shot
    2. Zimmerman got knocked down, pulled his gun, screamed so people could hear he was "threatened" then shot.

In the first case it's still 2nd degree murder. In the second it's 1st degree murder.

When a proper autopsy is done they will know where Zimmerman was in relation to Martin how far away and the angle.

Still, it is a bad law and needs to be repealed.

Hoodies are worn all across America. Its like wearing pajamas out of doors. They are blessed awesome things that should not be disparaged by the likes of Geraldo.

Trayvon's father never said it wasn't his son's voice. He said the audio was too distorted to say yes or no. After they removed audio distortions he confirmed it was Trayvon screaming.

That was not reliable at all. The police cannot produce an affidavit showing Tracy Martin listened and stated it was not his son's voice. He never signed anything saying that. The police were so dishonest with WESH they didn't even say anything about Tracy Martin pointing out he NEVER said it wasn't his son's voice.

That report leaves out several witnesses and facts but hey, you love it regardless because it fits your agenda.

If starts off factually false because we know for a fact Zimmerman got out and chased Martin. We also know it was Zimmerman that confronted Martin by the witness on the phone.

    You are mistaken, SkyStryker.

We don't know this at all!

When this first happened, I was convinced the Hispanic guy was at fault.

As I dug a little deeper, I discovered things were not as “cut and dried” as I was originally led to believe.

The press obviously has a "bias" and their bias came through in their original reporting of this incident.

Here is the correct version of the incident as confirmed today by reliable news sources.

Martin's father is nowhere in that video. All I saw was a reporter who was not in the room relay info she got from the police. The same police who lied to Trayvon's father and tried to hide the 911 call.

How about we go to the source? Trayvon's father says he's positive it was Trayvon's voice. Trayvon's mother also said it was his voice --- funny you didn't include her.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju3XIpipHBU"]Trayvon Martin's father on the 911 tapes - YouTube[/ame]

Either way this issue doesn't matter since Zimmerman pursued Martin and lost his right to self-defense when he became the aggressor.

Actually we do know this unless Zimmerman was lying to the police dispatcher.

Zimmerman must me arrested and tried for killing the 17 y/o

I just addressed that BS report but can add several more criticisms.

The police said prosecutors told them they did not have enough evidence to arrest Zimmerman. Do you really think they called the prosecutors on the Sunday night of the shooting and asked them that? Zimmerman admitting to shooting was enough for an arrest. The fact is not arresting Zimmerman on that Sunday night proves the cops already decided Zimmerman was not in the wrong. Standard procedure is to arrest someone who just killed someone else. You don't let them go without having done any investigating.

That segment does not address the witness on the phone who heard Zimmerman and Martin talking proving Zimmerman's version was a straight up lie. According to Zimmerman, Martin jumped him from behind which means according to his claim, they never spoke to each other prior to the fight and shooting.

Sanford PD's credibility is completely gone.

It's almost impossible that the 200 lb man who was carrying a 9mm handgun was the person heard screaming for his life.

This is nothing more than an educated opinion.

Politely chat? I strongly suggest learning the facts before hypothesizing.

That examiner article is a freaking joke and nothing but biased crap. Please ask me to prove it.......so we can see how you don't mind bias as long as it is in your favor.

    Oh. . . .a 6'3" giant. . . weighing all of 140lbs. . .against a 200+ bully with a gun!

Yep. . .that is clearly unfair!

By the way, note where that article comes from?

No, this is not true. He was claiming self-defense.

Police are not obligated to arrest anyone. They arrest when evidence warrants it or (usually) when they have enough evidence that a conviction could stick should it go to trial.
