The Federal government is having a record shutdown over the funding for part of a wall along the Mexico border. I know 1 federal employee that is being affected and he supports the need for the wall and is willing to wait for his pay-day. Are you a Federal employee that is affect or do you know a Federal employee affect? If so are you/they willing to take the temporary loss of pay in support of the wall?
Not the question of this thread. More curious about Federal employees affected by this shutdown and their position on the wall.
The non-essential employees with savings are loving this shutdown. They are getting off time--they had a great Christmas holiday-- and will be paid as usual. I would imagine a lot of honey do lists are being completed. The essential federal employees are pissed. They are working and not getting paid yet.
Are you talking about that hilarious press release from the DHS? Trump is clearly using the DHS as a political instrument. It's no different than when he appointed Rick Perry--a man who's openly stated he wants to eliminate the Dept of Energy--as Secretary of Energy and Scott Pruitt, an anti-sciencer, as head of the EPA. And have you actually read the press release? It's written in the sort of simplistic language meant to appeal to Trumpers.
