To show the ridiculousness of censoring our free speech rights we should start saying frack the mods and use substitute words like they did in BattleStar Gallactica and show how ridiculously useless such fracking censorship really is.

The board owner doesn't find it useless. If you don't like that, go find a board that doesn't censor, or set up your own.

I don't like profanity. I'm always embarrassed for those that use it. They sound----immature and extremely tacky.

The owner of this board wants me to view you with respect. Thus---no profanity.

Sometimes you must shut-up the morons so free speech can be heard.

another original Kotcherism posted by Mr. Kotcher himself.

Adults should be able to debate and discuss political issues and current events of the day without resorting to profanity. And yes, it IS against our rules here. Please abide by them.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation,
    JP5

What free speech rights? The first amendment prohibition on violating free speech applies to the federal congress, not private website makers.

BTW, you can still use all the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing profanity you want. I talk (*)(*)(*)(*) every day here..

You just need to type it out like normal. The (*)(*)(*)(*) will be scrambled, but anybody knows what the (*)(*)(*)(*) it is that you're saying due to the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing context.

The violation occurs when you try to type them out differently to circumvent the filter. But what the (*)(*)(*)(*) is the point of that, people still know exactly what (*)(*)(*)(*)ing swear words you're using just fine.

And nobody can (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and moan about it.

Although in all fairness I think the p word (as in I drank too much beer I need to take a (*)(*)(*)(*)) should be removed from that. It's not that bad of a word.
