    With Florence bearing down on the Carolinas, I thought this article might be generally interesting. It touches upon the roles of the various political players in hurricane responses, with particular discussion of Katrina for our "guns now" friends.

    While it lacks the anecdotal stories that Katrina brought to all states, it's accurate overall to what I recall.

    What it doesn't do is discuss the FEMA failure under HW in florida with Andrew, and the political ramifications for the 1992 election.
