I think Kavanaugh caused the participation to even out. Prior to that semi-porn circus the Democrats had the enthusiasm advantage. Now it all depends on how independents turnout and vote. I think independents who gave Trump the white house by voting for him 46-42 over Hillary Clinton with 12% voting third party will vote Democratic for congress by around 10 points. Trump's favorable has dropped 8 points from election and inauguration day and his unfavorable has risen 9 points. So we'll see come Wednesday AM if I'm right or wrong.

Among registered voters, Trump’s approval is 44 percent, with disapproval at 52 percent, the best margin among this group during his presidency......snip~

If anything they shave a few points off the Republican side just to throw off the lazy voters on the left :)

The map is still not the territory.

Polls aren't reflecting the outrage over Kavanagh.

Sometimes I think Dems want to lose.

You have to laugh at that statement, like state/county votes are not instrumental in electing Senators and Congressmen :)

After "Hillary in a Landslide" and "No Path to 270" I'm not paying any attention to any polls. In addition to all the invisible Trumpeteers, last week's stellar economic report won't factor into any of the polls so I'm expecting Republicans to do better than I would have expected a year ago.

That being said, considering historical trends and the current map, I'm expecting Dims to take over the House by a slim margin and Republicans to pick up a few seats in the Senate. Given that the Senate is the biggest prize in this election, I think Trump and the GOP can live with that result even though it will be disappointing.

The biggest question in my mind is will Ruth Bader Ginsburg live to see the end of this year. She looked like she was going to drop dead during Kavanaugh's White House swearing-in ceremony. :omfg:

We will have to see if the Demos can make up the ground from early voting where they are getting their asses stomped.

Don't forget their political strategists was counting on the early voting.

What "outrage" over Kavanaugh .. politics as usual did not turn any Dem heads. At the end of the Day Kavanaugh should never have been appointed. This has nothing to do with some 35 year old accusation but, on the basis of his partisan record and lack of understanding (or ignoring) the founding principles.

It will be about voter turnout. If the Dems wake up in the morning and decide to vote - they will do well.

The thing is that they won't change. I don't expect a big Democrat loss. The only thing that will motivate them to reform, is a huge shellacking.

Somehow their supporters must force them to reform. The best way would be to just stop voting for them. I don't see that happening, though.
