Yes, it is. And on top of these many victims you have to add up the victims of school schootings. And yes, the lives of the children is my hidden leftist agenda.

By the way: the Fenatnyl-tragedy is a homegrown problem which other modern societies don't have to fight.

I don't care if you don't like guns or gun use. Many of us Americans do and we aren't going to chop off our tails to make miserable Aesop fox types feel less miserable

Well, I also know that your fetish is not about the constitution, but to please your ego. Believe me, there are lots of men with that kind of ego. Ego is ego, Amercian or not.

complete fail there. and calling a support of freedom a "fetish" almost always is a sign of some projection

Leftists never care about children or about saving lives. As such, no leftist agenda is ever about children or about saving lives.

Leftists support gun control because they think it's fun to violate people's civil liberties.

Why? Is there some quirk to the laws of nature that prevent fentanyl from existing in those nations?

So......only Republicans love their children? Or are you saying that no one does? Sometimes people just need to listen to themselves before posting.

Of course many are motivated by keeping kids safe, especially those who have experienced preventable deaths in the family, or at school where their kids go.

Dem politicians know their voters care, which is why they "tickle their ears" with all the gun control talk. Likewise, Republican politicians know their voters care more about guns, which is why they tickle their ears with all their talking points.

This is why it's hard to take your posts seriously. Politicians support gun control, because that's what their voters want to hear. It brings in the votes, and that's the only thing any politician is interested in.

Are Republicans like DeSantis banning everything they see because they think its fun to violate people's civil liberties? No, they are pandering to their base.

No. Other nations are just not as drug hungry as Americans. US is #1 in per capita drug use, and death rate more than twice the #2 country

Fine. Politicians pander to progressive voters, and progressive voters don't care about saving lives and only want to violate people's civil liberties for fun.

No. Progressive voters do not care about children or about saving lives. They only care about violating people's civil liberties for no reason.

Clearly my point flew a mile over your head. You might find it surprising, but some people actually do care about saving lives, and they believe gun control would do it. We can disagree with them, but the way you misrepresent their motivations is pretty dishonest.

May I ask you to prove it?

I know people who have lost loved ones to preventable gun related deaths, and their motivations have nothing to do with any rights, and they have a very good reason. You are simply unable to see things from more than one viewpoint.

I don't have to agree with people, but at least I try to see where they are coming from. Some others are not interested, so they invent some talking point and insert it in their mouths. It's called "bearing a false witness", and it doesn't help you promote your view, - it weakens it.

No. No one thinks that outlawing pistol grips, flash suppressors, and brand names will save any lives.

No dishonesty and no misinterpretation. What I say is true.

"The simple fact that no one can provide any alternative motivation for outlawing pistol grips, flash suppressors, and brand names" is proof that the only actual motivation for such endeavors is to violate people's civil liberties for no reason.

No. They have no reason at all for outlawing pistol grips, flash suppressors, and brand names. They only do it because they like to violate people's civil liberties.

Now you are just trying to move the goal posts.

Well, you had your chance to prove it and you failed.

Enough with the repetition. I allow people have their opinion, and even if I disagree I don't feel the need to bear false witness.

You hail the laws in Finland, which are very strict compared to ours. Is that because they want to restrict people's rights, or could there be other reasons? IMO they actually believe their laws keep people safer, be they right or wrong.

That is incorrect. You asked for proof, and I provided it.

That is incorrect. I provided proof that the left doesn't care about children or saving lives, but only wants to violate people's civil liberties out of malice.

Finland is a bit stricter, but they are not nearly as draconian as you keep portraying.

Civilians in Finland are allowed to own semi-auto AK-47s with 30-round magazines.

Repeating your personal opinion or trying to move the goal posts is not proof of anything.

    Prove:
    1. Democrat voters do not care about children
    2. They ask for gun control only because they want to violate people's civil liberties out of malice

Let me help, - you are referring to all dem voters as if they were one person, and it is simply impossible they are all motivated by some alt-right talking point. You made it up, and hence bare false witness. Everyone can see that.

Do you not realize how absurd you sound repeating these claims?

Sure. All you have to do is serve in the military, join reservist training group, apply for permit, pass background checks, pass police interview/evaluation, register the firearm, and you're free to participate in the reservist training program with your firearm.

I don't want gun laws like that here. I prefer our laws.

I posted facts, not opinions. And I made no attempt to move any goal posts.

I already did. Here it is again:

"The simple fact that no one can provide any alternative motivation for outlawing pistol grips, flash suppressors, and brand names" is proof that the only actual motivation for such endeavors is to violate people's civil liberties for no reason.

All progressives, but not all Democrats.

I'm a Democrat myself. Note the avatar image for my ID.

That is incorrect. I truthfully stated their actual position.

If a person considers the truth to be absurd, that is more a reflection on them than it is on me for telling the truth.

That is incorrect. There is no such requirement for military service. I already corrected you on that once before, in post #148.

I prefer our laws as well. But I see no reason to pretend that Finland is an anti-gun wasteland.

I don't think you know what a fact is. You posted opinion, and yes, you tried moving the goal posts, because voters never asked for bans on "pistol grips, flash suppressors, and brand names". Politicians came up with that nonsense in an effort to define what they think it "assault rifle".

That's the problem. You can't quote anyone else stating it, so you state it and claim it's someone else's position.

Em......no military service required for reservist training program? Listen to yourself. Slink on military service and guess what? NO SOUP FOR YOU!

I do know what they are. I post quite a few of them in the course of correcting people's untrue claims.

That is incorrect. I posted facts.

No goal post move. We've already agreed that the reason why politicians do such things is because they pander to voters who want those things to be done.

That's not a problem. I provided logical proof that my claim is true.

That is incorrect. Finland does not require a civilian to have participated in military service before owning a semi-auto AK-47 with 30-round magazines.

You had your chance to back up your claims and all you could do is re-post your opinion.

Yes, they do. Reservists training programs are for military reservists.

Enough with the repetition. Have a nice day.

That is incorrect. I reposted the logical proof that my claim is correct.

I do understand that logical arguments are inconvenient for the left. But no. Logic is not an opinion.

Your attempt to offer opinion and call it "logic" is not proof of anything other than your lack of factual proof.

Well, I suppose you should know since you admitted being on the yourself.

The problem with BS is not that it's inconvenient, but that it's dishonest.

That is incorrect. I did not offer opinion. I offered logic.

That is incorrect. Logical proof is proof.

That is incorrect. I am not a leftist.

(I assume you meant to say "one of them" and missed a couple letters.)

The most important response to make here is to point out the fact that all the BS is coming from the left.

Leftists may well be dishonest. I think it is more significant that leftists are evil.

The common link was not appreciating the value of a holster for carrying a handgun, i.e., belt/waistband carry. To quote from the link, "My gun came unhooked from my belt and went sliding down my right pant leg."
