Not false. Russia had much better relations with Finland, than for example with the US for the last 60 years.

 

Finland can and should apply for NATO membership and I am pretty sure that that democratic nations pretty much meets all of the requirements already and could be fast-tracked.

 

Kind of like how rapists usually have a better relationship with the people they raped than they do to the cops chasing them down the road for having raped their victims in the first place.

Putin could easily lose 500,000-1,000,000 soldiers in a protracted conflict with Finland. I consider Finland to be the Iwo Jima of Europe in terms of almost unbeatable resistance.

The Ukrainians may have not yet had the battle-hardening experiences with the Russians like the Finns repeatedly had in the 1930s and 1940s (it happened more than once), but let's not forget that the largest boot-camp for the then-Soviet army was located in: Ukraine.
