https://www.axios.com/first-cohn-now-tillerson-turn-on-trump-2477796459.html This follows quickly on the steps on Gary Cohn who said, during an interview released Friday, "This administration can and must do better in consistently and unequivocally condemning these groups and do everything we can to heal the deep divisions that exist in our communities." The reaction from within his own administration is further proof that Trump's reaction to Charlottesville was pathetic at best, and an impeachable offense at its worse. This quote from Mr. Tillerson will also, likely, add more to the rapidly increasing amounts of frustration felt by Trump towards his Secretary of State. So who will be the first to leave the administration? Will it be Gary Cohn or Rex Tillerson? Or could it be Stephen Miller who follows the mass exodus of the ethno-nationalists of Sebastian Gorka and Steve Bannon?
Just an observation, maybe no more needed to be said. Not meant to be aggressive. I like your posting history, even though I disagree much of the time.
Tillerson surprised me, by plainly stating Trump doesn't speak for American values. That won't set well with the Idiot King.
Cohn and Tillerson would have to be exceedingly stupid if they are surprised that Trump is the bigoted idiot that he is. They made their pact with the devil for whatever they saw was in it for themselves - and I don't think they are stupid men. If they leave, it will be because they don't think it is a good deal fro them. Steve Miller is a despicable, hate-filled worm. He should join the other slime - Gorka and Bannon, but I'm not sure they want a Jew with them.
Yours as well. Turning "the President speaks for himself" to the implied "The President doesn't speak for me" and then welding Cohn's quote to it to create some pretend meaning seems intellectually dishonest.
Trump will be outed by the GOP sooner than later. But Trump will form his own party of white nationalists who yearn for a new Reich.
So, if the President gets rid of Miller you will have the trifecta. I gather you would be less hateful of the President? Me thinks not.
But Tillerson did speak for himself. He stated his own values and when asked about his opinion regarding Trump, that is when he said that Trump speaks for himself. If Tillerson wanted to defend Trump's statements more emphatically, it should be very easy to see how such would be possible. And he did not.
I will be happy that such an influence is no longer in the White House. But the person who allowed, nay demaned, that influence inside the white house remains.
Would you consider the removal/replacement of the current Secretary of State to be "much ado about nothing."
Wait all this time you've said the Russian thing, dangit I've been waiting for the big news concerning your prediction.
He did so. Attributing blame to both sides in no way diminishes his condemnation of "these groups". The media meltdown to him uttering the words "on many sides" referring to any blame, doesn't change that fact.
Can you copy and paste the part of Trumps statement you think needs defending? Would it by chance be the 3 single words "on many sides"? Bit of an over reaction don't you think? "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides." And perhaps Tillerson didn't think those 3 words needed any defense.
Plus, the daughter of Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke ripped Trump a new one Friday. She gave Trump what he most deserves: total, unequivocal disrespect... http://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...t-members-daughter-rips-trump-transgender-ban
