Sadly I have never experienced a flash mob but, I love the idea. Bringing art to "the people". I do not equate conceited Performance Art as Flash Mob. A good flash offers performance themes anyone might recognize. Like a Star Wars theme. I had a couple of favorite flash mob videos but, this one surpassed them Hope you enjoy it and share yours. Such a flash mob brings music and performance to people up close. Music is mostly "noise" to me. Give me clear, good performance music such as on a Deutchegrammafon vinyl recording and I may be more interested. I don't care what the digital people say, they cannot hit a good base or provide decent treble. Just as digital is pale compared to old Technicolor films, even though they be digital today they were not made so. And it shows. Imagine live performance where on can feel the base tones. If you YouTube search, Russian Flash Mob, you may witness the Russkies have embraced this art form. Moi r > g Stop Creeping ism They are preparing their Flash Mobbing Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic, regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
There are several Ode to Joy flash mobs and I was looking for another, when I took the video in the #1 upload instead. I like flash mobs that give some classic art and not egotistical improv or personal interpretations. I hate music, it is noise to me. My mother had a classical music education and made me watch Lenard Bernstein Children's programs back when TV was B&W and sound quality really bad. But, when I can feel the music, like those base sounds along the torso it is something different. Most of these flash mobs are European and it is sad America doesn't use them more to bring classic music art to people without having to dress up, buy a ticket, etc. Enjoy 1812. Napoleon defeated. The Frenchies taking a hike back to France from Moscow. Moi r > g One Big Flash Mob taken seriously.
Thanks I saw that flash mob video before. Unlike you I love music, just about every genre except rap (which is not music).
I don't know how to upload a video on my iPad. This is Va Pensiero, by the Covent Garden Chorus, and its beautiful. The story of its composing is stirring too. Wow, I did it. Damn, it's not the flash mob version. Sorry.
