Well, then read here... Concentration Camps In the East And Soviet Gulags http://www.exulanten.com/specialcamps.html
Yes, Helmut Kohl no gets the first EU wide state ceremonies and they plan to name our greatest airport in Frankfurt after him. There are also plans to rename evry street and place that now have Karl Marx name into Helmut Kohl.
as you might notice, its published by Harvard University, an FBI-controlled spin doctors machine, notorious for their anti-Soviet & anti-Russian stance; they simply distort the truth and tell lies; the very amateurish & ideology ridden approach shown in the link you posted (cartoons, wording, attempts to impress etc.) should tell you something... still you take it at face value & for granted as if gospel truth, shame on you. that is some rather dubious source, has nothing to do with the facts, no documents either; anyone can toss around any fake info and then post a link to it; so don't be naive.
I think it is not a good idea to rename the places that have name of Karl Marx into someone else name. Whatever people can think about him, Karl Marx was a great man.
Marx is the father of the most deadly ideology. An ideology east germans suffered 40 years. Kohl was the man who ended this torture. I would rather have a Helmut Kohl Street than Karl MArx Street
This is true that he was a father of dead ideology. But on the other side he had good intentions when he wrote his books, he was idealist, and finally this is part of your history. East Germans suffered not because of his ideology, but because of the ideology of Soviet Union, which is in fact has nothing to do with the ideas of Karl Marx- they have been terribly distorted.
I understand that but see nothing positive in Karl Marx at all. He can be part of our history without big celebrations. Honcker is part of our history too and no streets named after him
This is a modern map of prisons(prisons, pre-trial detention centers and colony-settlements) in Russia. Nothing strange that they are very similar? Gulag is the prison system of the Stalinist USSR. According to archival documents, 1.6 million prisoners died in the GULAG between 1930 and 1956. These are all kinds of deaths. And what did the Germans expect after what they did in the USSR? The Germans killed several million captured Soviet soldiers. The Germans invaded the USSR and now whine that the USSR was too cruel.
