In Germany you had to go army. Its obligatory. I´m a police apprentice. I follow orders if i like them or not.

I do deportations and most of the times i support it. In other cases i participate in deportations of people where i find deportation unjust but have to follow orders and the law.

I dont see russians as 2nd class. But in war i have no problem to do what must be done.

I saw many interviews of German veterans where they say that the German government has for many years told them that the Russians are slaves and second-class people. 18 million TOTALLY SERVED in ten years, not all of them at once, conscripts included, foreigners included, on top of that it does not means one supports ruling party's ideology if they fight for their country, ESPECIALLY on final stages of war, when warfare was moved to territory of Germany itself and soldiers fought not in assault, but for their own land, their own homes, their own families, against invading foreign forces from both fronts.

I'm sorry to hear that. But don't you remember when we in the West also paid up to 17% on a mortgage? It always fluctuates. Right now the rates are very low. Russia right now has been unfairly hit with economic sanctions. The west has cut off their pipelines or flooded the market with cheaper oil, so Russia has to sell cheap or below their production costs. Everything possible, besides an outright war, is done to weaken Russia. Naturally, the Russian folk suffers from that, but they still like Putin and he is holding up remarkably well and keeping a cool head.

That does not means, germans as people all hated russians - it means NDSAP launched eradication operations against my people, and deliberately slaughtered them. It was ugly, and vicious - and in the end bringed suffering to Germany.

I do not feel it is really that worthy to discuss crimes of people, who are mostly dead today. What done - is done. The pain remains, but history moves on - and so should we.

You're right. 18 million. Well. Not 90%. 70% of German men were soldiers. In any case, the Germans wanted to kill Soviet people. They changed their minds when the Soviet army came to Germany and killed them.

I think you are not quite correct. First of all, some products that is produced in Germany are not produced in other countries. Name me the same big company, for example in the EU like Bayer that makes the same good quality farmacy products? I doubt you name any. Same with Bosch, Siemens. Germany is famous for its chemistry and engineering industry, so it is strange to underestimate it. By the way, you can easily find Greek oliven oil in German supermarkets. This they can do well. But the other things- sorry- no competition. Of course, bribery and corruption exists (as was the case with Siemens), but where it does not exist? Almost everywhere, including Russia.

Jazz, I will agree with you that all of us are slaves. Only to different extent. I think Russians like Putin because they are afraid of chaos that could happen if a weak leader was in head of the country. I am not a fun of Putin, but should admit that he did a lot for the country not to fully fall apart.
As for mortgages, there have been never fluctuation of the rates. It was always above 15%, even in good times, when the oil costed 100USD/barrel.

I like Putin. He is a peaceful man and really tries hard, not to get riled into a conflict with the US. He definitely has more common sense than some of the western leaders. Too bad, Germany is obligated to hang with the West and can't befriend itself with Russia. It would be good for all concerned, if these two countries could heal their collective wounds from the last war.
