Slate article Stanford Report article As a college student concerned about finances, this story blew me away. This could be the beginning of a whole new era of free content in which even our universities are funded by little more than advertising, and our "grades" are based on how we stand among tens of thousands (maybe someday, millions) of online classmates. I'm not taking real classes this fall semester, so out of pure curiosity and interest, I might take "Introduction to Databases." Free skills are cool.
