"He has erected a multitude of new Offices (and officers), and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance."

The Dems want to rule like King George.

republicans are spinning this, this is budgeting employeese for the next 10 years, including the replacement of retiring employees

most are customer service reps to help you if you call in with questions

but yes, some are to increase the numbers to audit the rich, that is what really upsets them

Typically lower earners have a single income source and receive a W2 and their taxes are automatically withdrawn from the paycheck, so there is not much to audit. They might get audited if they have lot of deductions which look suspicious. If your income is $30K and your deductions $25K, they'll probably look into it. Either way, if people cheat, they should get audited regardless of income level.

Yes, because they have been told that collecting tax is "government overreach" and "tyranny".

most of those audits are automatic, like not adding everything, the fed now sends you a letter saying they saw a discrepancy, auto changing it and saying you have 90 days to fight it if you disagree, otherwise they change it for you, this is where more customer service agents are helpful

tax returns for the rich take more time and effort.

Lol, dude, the funding hasn't been dropped. It has to go through the Senate first and the Senate isn't going to agree. Plus, most of that headcount was just replacement for retiring agents, and much of the rest were for technical/support roles.

The whole "89,000 armed agents" thing was a lie. And unless the Senate agrees with the House, the hiring will still happen.

No. I wish this forum had rules against people repeatedly posting lies like this. It's disruptive and makes having a constructive discussion and debate impossible.

I don't take kindly to people who think they can order others about.

Good for you, neither do I, but as you well know this is not about that since no one ordered anyone about. It is about your assertion that you can not support.

    What I responded to:
I listed a number of foundations, who in their statements list a number of things they do and support.

What am I not supporting? As I said, google is your friend.

I'll be kind to the newbie, and even give you a link.

What was the purpose of your post? Just to state that there are some foundations or that they also do things beneficial to their founders?

Yeah, up until now the IRS has only been auditing poor people and letting rich people do whatever they want cause that’s how the IRS brings in the big bucks, by soaking people who barely pay anything at all. LOL

Methinks you don’t understand much about taxes

The 5 million rounds of ammunition they bought last year seems suspicious as hell. And the 5,000 sub-machine guns???

    No spin.

yep, under Trump too, 2017 and 2019, almost like it's ever couple years, lol, republicans hate guns

    https://marketrealist.com/p/is-the-irs-buying-ammunition/

"The IRS has purchased guns and ammunition in the past.
This isn't the first time the IRS has been associated with buying loads of ammunition. In 2019, Forbes reported that the IRS had hoards of ammunition and guns. By the end of 2017, the IRS already had around 4,487 guns and 5,062,006 rounds of ammunition. It was reported that the guns in IRS possession weren't for civilians. According to reports, many of the guns are machine guns. As it stands, only the Criminal Investigation Division in the IRS actually gets to carry."

The weaponization of government agencies is a Democrat thing. The change in tactics as far as collections go has been planned for awhile now and even back then the Democrats were planning to subjugate the populace with force.
