Another thing they (conveniently) neglect to mention - two things, actually: the program is LEGAL, under the very laws which little georgie bush pushed through after 9/11. However, little georgie and his merry band of proto-fascists broke THEIR OWN LAW. The current program, which does NOT listen to conversations but tracks which phone number calls another phone number, is conducted AFTER GETTING THE COURT WARRANT REQUIRED BY LAW. Little georgie and his friends blatantly ignored this LEGAL requirement. Feel free to research this entire subject. Also, feel prepared to get totally disgusted by the totally dishonest behavior of the republican party, both then and now. A lot of what will make you both disgusted and furious is IN THEIR OWN WORDS. There will, of course, be those republithugs who want me to do their work for them and provide all sorts of sources.
