They both got media coverage because of their race, but the similarity stops there. Yes, the young woman's phone recording of an unarmed black man killed with a knee to his neck by the police was not only newsworthy, it was unprecedented. It sparked a worldwide BLM movement. Of course the media would cover it. Petito is being covered at all because she was a missing white girl. (Study in #21) And again, of course the media would cover it; it sells more ads. The two aren't comparable. And the OP's narrative is far from factual. Truth is, pretty white girls are covered almost exclusively.
Not yet. The cops don't need the media hounding them right now. It can take time to get enough answers to feed the public.
Was there a video of mikey brown? A thug who assaulted a cop, got more media coverage than gabby petito will ever get, or the many whites killed by cops, or the many children gunned down by thugs in inner cities every w/e. mikey brown became a legend...
Yeah, I recognise that that's part of the opaqueness, but normally there would be a little more. My guess is that initial assessment indicated a death via natural causes, and that this has thrown a spanner in the works - so to speak.
