Any wagers that it will dip into the 20s by December?
If these ratings stay below atleast 45%,and unemployment stays above 8% in 2012,consider him toast.Maybe him single handedly defeating Qaddafi while at the golf course will bump his ratings up.

We are talking about the president here.

Try to keep up Celica. I know it can be hard. And if you can't just find another thread, maybe one a little easier.

First of all, come hell or high water, he won't step aside. He won't bend, and he won't budge.

His stubbornness will BE his downfall.

It looks like his amnesty play may not have paid off. 44% approval among hispanics, which is a new low. I guess it may not have occured to Obama that people would be more concerned with their own personal well being and job prospects than idenitity politics or whatever he was aiming for with that move. I never understood why he would believe any group would welcome more competition for the few job openings that are available.

Interesting advice from the WH Dossier:

Can't see him doing any of those things... but no doubt that strategy would work much better than trying to talk himself into getting re-elected! Geesh, aren't people sick to death of listening to him flap his jaws????

Gotta remember that he still has 85% approval of the black community. And that really has only dropped lately.

I am kind of scared with his cult like following and the absolute ignorance of a lot of the general public that would get their news from those in Obama's pocket, that he doesn't do something right here that is almost a 180 deg turn and actually proposes something that is actually good and the GOP in the house can't refuse. Something that Obama can take credit for if it passes or something to blame on the GOP if it doesn't get passed in the house. I see him as being that decieving and sneaky to actually work for a year and claim victory. Kind of like making everything as bad as he can make it and slightly improving the nation to make you have the sense that things are better, when really they are still worse than were we started.

I think we're all scared there's still 38% who are blinded by his light. Did you hear he's planning to reduce regulations on small businesses by $10 billion to encourage job growth? Of course, he increased regulations on small businesses by $9.5 billion last month and won't be touching those.

It's distressing there are still people around who take him at his word... even though he's done very little of what he's talked about.

Lots of idiots in this country. :(

here is a Harris interactive showing Carter far ahead of both Reagan and GHW Bush at the start of the primary season

    http://www.harrisinteractive.com/va...FAR-AHEAD-OF-BOTH-REAGAN-AND-BUSH-1980-01.pdf

and another analysis of why Reagan was underrated by the polls thru the primary season

    http://www.amstat.org/sections/srms/proceedings/papers/1981_011.pdf

Clinton suffered from Hillary fatigue after her failure to push thru her National Health Care program in 1993, but under the guidance of Dick Morris, Clinton began rebounding in 1995 by "triangulating". it remains to be seen whether or not Obama can or will use such a strategy to save his reelection prospects.

If Obama wants to make an about face and work a conservative plan then I'd support him. I don't care about the person in the office as I have no stake whatsoever as to the face on the body. I care more about the country and a conservative is needed, who cares which person that is as long as it's conservative policies.

Because nothing would stop him when he gets reelected to go even further to the left when he is a "lameduck". He has already expressed interest in being a dictator on more than one occasion, and his VP is more than enamored with China's autoritarian rulers.
