    Rocco you stated:

"The "Hasbara" is NOT a derogatory term. It is a form of "Public Diplomacy" that attempts to explain Israeli policies and promote Israel in the face of negative press. "Hasbara" is an positive umbrella that covers those people involved in attempts at counter-propaganda which openly attacks of Israel (for whatever reason). But it is even more than that. It is a dynamic alliance and fellowship of many people from many different walks of life.

I don't know enough about Israel and Israeli Policy to be "Habara." I am "goy." That was made clear to me many years ago.

The "Hasbara" advocacy effort to give meaning to the State of Israel and advance the constructive qualities and attributes of Israel and its people. They do not lie (I say again) they do not lie."

Your comment is correct but the fact that the conventional meaning of the Hebrew word hasbara refers to the dissemination of positive information abroad about the State of Israel does not mean it is always used that way and so as you are quite aware it often used in a negative sense by those who hate Israel and question its right to exist as a word to call someone to disparage them if they support the right of Israel to exist.

My family on both sides went through unmentionable horror and pain simply because they were Jews from infancy and no they did not feel the exact same way and did not teach me to feel that way.

Next, I volunteered in Israel. No Palestinian child was frightened of me or my mission. We were not all monsters.

I also spent 30 years in the court system with children who were raped, molested, beaten, abused and no they did not all end up to repeat it. I have seen people come from the exact same depraved environment and some choose suicide, violence, crime, terrorism but others peace, spiritual enlightenment and triumph. There's a wide range of outcomes in the world of humans and how they deal with their lots in life.

I think to say children who witness Israeli soldiers know no difference than referring to them as killers is simplistic and romanticizes children of violent environments. They are not all victims. Not all Palestinian children or children for that matter are innocent. Some are deadly killers and blaming others for their choices is not necessarily accurate.

Gaza: The only 'Refugee Camp' that has numerous Olympic sized swimming pools and three star world class hotels and big water fountains when they're supposedly suffering from a 'water shortage'.

    ⁜→ et al,

I don't really understand why anyone would question "Farnsworth's" posting...

I know of one Olympic swimming pool in Gaza. The other pools are not Olympic sized, as far as I know.

    Here's a link:
    https://www.irishexaminer.com/opinion/columnists/arid-20121917.html

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As-Sadaka

I don't usually use Wikipedia as a source, but links for this club and its Olympic pool are hard to find in English, except for pro-Israel sites that you wouldn't trust. So there.

First, you're not a serious poster, and for two, I never post anything that anybody can't find for themselves for the most part, and for three most such evidence just gets ignored by the propagandists and agenda posters even if people do take the time and effort to do so, they just move on to the next 'talking point' in endless 'I Touched You Last!!! NAH!!!' cycles they they hope passes for 'debate' and/or 'discussion', so I don't bother wasting my time on such 'requests' unless I know the poster is genuinely interested in the info and it is a serious inquiry.

Also there is the fact that anybody who can't find luxury hotels in Gaza probably isn't informed enough to discuss anything about the place, frankly.

Or in other words there are not numerous Olympic sized swimming pools in Gaza there is one as Pisa kindly pointed out, so you deflect from your mis-information and imaginings.

If you're such a well-informed person, you surely can tell us the name, address, telephone number, website, etc. of a Gaza luxury hotel. Will you? :)

It is a mute point anyway since the chances of a normal person being allowed into Gaza is very remote.

Then we should ask ourselves why these hotels exist, when they exist? Obviously, they cannot earn money due to a lack of tourism.

What's going on here? Are the Hasbara trolls kidding us, or have we overlooked something?

Pisa also kindly mentioned that there's only one Olympic sized pool in Gaza she knows about. There might be another one at the Techno Gym, but I don't have enough data about its size to be sure.

There are plenty of pools in Gaza for the less competitive who just wanna have fun.

    Thanks,

This is how the hotel looks from the outside:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Deira_Hotel#/media/File:Al_Deira_Hotel_Gaza_April_2009.jpg

Due to the lack of normal vacationers mainly journalists live there. But they are not safe from Zionist terrorist attacks either.

I wonder why there are so few people in the photos. How are these hotels financed? I assume from the Israeli state budget. The hotels are supposed to simulate certain normality.

The Nazi death camps also had a bunch of facilities to deceive the public.

I'd be more worried about getting out of Gaza than getting in. They don't like nosy foreigners there.

Isn't imagination a wonderful thing? A precious gift bestowed upon humanity to make harsh cold reality more palatable to our fragile psyche.

Almashtal Hotel belongs to the ArcMed group based in Barcelona.
    http://arcmedhotels.com/

Blue Beach Resort is also an international brand, google it. Your precious Wikipedia claims the one in Gaza has an Olympic sized pool, by the way @Ronald Hillman, but I can't gloat over that since I don't trust Wikipedia :(

Al Deira seems to be a local initiative not connected to any international chain. Its restaurant and other facilities are very popular with middle class people in Gaza.
