I think Britain's several thousand volunteers for nearly a year just to do their Opening Ceremonies put Beck's volunteers to shame.

Not even the same thing, and you know it. It's one thing to do things for the stature, and another thing entirely for a selfless act.

They DO call it "communist and fascism", like they have with many Liberals and Obama. Of course, Beck and company did some "community organizing" there but somehow they don't call THEMSELVES commies! Go figure.

A big part of a community organizes day is trying to raise and coordinate volunteer efforts to help the community, the elderly and other special needs people.

The sick and old and hungry need help EVERY DAY, not just once every few years for a big show. Its so funny watching the Beckheads PREEN with pride for doing good deeds! Indeed, thank you Beck and Company, so glad you could be Christian for a Day.

The eager-beaver right wing fanatics turned out to do good works for the glory of their Fuehrer.

Obviously these 30,000 people were all unemployed, which is why they had time to attend an all-day rally and then spend another day volunteering for charity.

No, you're spinning it to support your ideology, with irrelevancies.

State your source of how these 30,000 people were unemployed. Otherwise it's yet another spin to invoke a thought not based on any fact. Therefore, rumor and speculation.

...my ideology is that Beck is a good, upstanding, moral person, despite our disagreements, who deserves praise for his act of charity.

Not sure how I'm trying to "spin" that.

As I had noted earlier, the OP is about Glenn Beck, and his actions, you brought up the British opening ceremonies, and how what Beck did paled in comparison. I then pointed out how the two totally different.

I think you're confused. I didn't bring it up out of nowhere. Two other people, one of them the person I quoted, brought up entirely unrelated examples of "volunteering." Why did you choose to get onto me and not them?

Where did I claim that you brought it up out of nowhere? In any case, I didn't agree with what you were saying, and explaining why I didn't...its not a personal thing, I don't know you.

I'm just saying, two other people went off-topic with comparisons, so I figured I'd do the same
