True……… but if one of the major pilot projects for this was done in the nation of Jordan…….. and was connected to a plan to get Jordan and Israel cooperating on some win - win - win - win - win projects where the citizens of both nations benefit in a huge way……………….. the potential positive effect on the thought and behaviour patterns of all of the Islamic world……… could greatly decrease the level of danger that minorities in the Middle East are in at this time.

I believe that the key is to quote an Islamic prophecy……… and promote the idea that the fulfillment of this prophecy is critical to stabilization of the climate…….. as well as to lifting the whole world out of economic stagnation.

Please pray or meditate on Canada's P. M. brokering Jordan - Israel peace deal?
I know that many of you pray or meditate so please

pray that P. M. Stephen Harper initiate a peace deal between Jordan and Israel?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a member of a different Canadian political party but……… I have to admit that P. M. Stephen Harper is for good reason regarded as a rather "Davidic" figure by a high percentage of Israelis.

What he did for Israel back in 2011 at the G-8 was one of the most courageous and wise acts by a political leader that I have seen since I began to watch world events back in the '70's!

Several years ago I was led to read a book again about a near death experiencer who was shown that Jordan and Israel would become like one nation…. I wonder if this is true and if it would be according to the will of God for this to happen soon?

    ….…
    …
My guess on the new colour for Jordan would be GREEN…. as Isaiah 35 is fulfilled and the deserts of Jordan would be turned green through a great increase in desalination of ocean water……. Not to mention the blessing of God!

Various random thoughts on your posts:

    1) Israel and Jordan are not so antagonistic toward each other that a peace deal between them would be significant beyond the symbolism.

    2) Water Vapor is a green house driver as well, so injected more water into the atmosphere by irrigating the deserts may not be the solution you are hoping for.

    3) You and I have a fundamental difference of opinion regarding the path forward with energy. You seem to be oriented toward big, concentrated production solutions. I believe the better route is toward many microsolutions. Instead of making the whole globe dependent on commercial energy production, I think the better path is toward everybody being able to independently supply the bulk of their energy needs without having to buy from Global Power, Inc. If everybody were to be able to manage their own energy, then they could make individual decisions as to how much to use, whether or not to cut back, whether or not to increase their own individual capacity or then buy from someone else, or manage with less electric. People in my area who have well water have to do this all the time. In dry weather, they have to make their own individual plans on how to adapt to not being able to turn a faucet on 24/7 and have all the water they want when it suits them. They have to allow time for their wells to recharge.

Actually….. I do agree with you that what is done on a smaller scale is critical……….. and yes…… small scale operations could turn out to be more important than mega-projects.

One of my obsessions is attempting to figure out how best to finance this.

Can you imagine Vince Vaughn…………. playing the role of President Mitt Romney……. who in our film series, wins the election in 2012…… and sets out to make the world a very different place?

Theoretically…… it is possible to view the Ghost Dance prophecies of the return of the buffalo to North America…… as a concept for a series of films…… in which actually bringing the buffalo back is factored into a series of documentary, reality and even semi-reality science fiction film projects….. that could become a significant part of the economy of several communities.

Do you think that the Worgl, Austria experiment can be applied in America again?
It certainly seemed to work well back during the time of the Great Depression!

Alt currency stops the leaky bucket problem in local economies, but I really do not see how that pertains to permaculture other than perhaps it would encourage people to shop at the farmer's market instead of whole foods.

    I am seriously impressed!

Only a small percentage of posters on this forum would already realize that……"Alt currency stops the leaky bucket problem in local economies."

I am out to attempt to initiate what will almost appear like a new genre of films.

Semi-reality science fiction, that is partly financed through a micro- nation currency or local currency or some other application of the Worgl, Austria local currency experiment?!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/humor...ughn-mitt-romney-he-wins-election-2012-a.html
Vince Vaughn…. as Mitt Romney…. and he wins the election in 2012?!
I am sure that Mitt remembers the line made famous by Max Baer……."Jethro Bodine, movie producer at your service!"

Let's imagine that Mr. Romney actually won the election back in November of 2012 and…….. .like me, DennisTate, Mitt is concerned over a serious devaluation of the USA dollar before the year 2020 so…… Mitt hires Vince Vaughn to play the role of himself and……...

Would Mitt Romney as President in 2016 inspire Iran to scrap nuclear weapon plans?

If Mitt.........… would become an actor playing the role of himself, in a semi-reality science fiction film project...… set in 2012 and 2013......… he could go on Shark Tank and get Kevin O'Leary and the other sharks, to print up a Mitt Romney Volunteerism Hour, similar to the Ithaca Hour, and this new currency unit could become a prop in a series of films.

I believe that he should print up one hundred million Mitt Romney Volunteerism Hours, then a billion of them, then ten billion of them, then a hundred billion of them and later on 888.9 billion of them, to bring the total to a trillion volunteerism hours............. which can be used to partly finance film projects that address actual problems that people are facing now........

Only the private sector is free to address the problems that any government agency faces when they try to deal with massive problems. The immigrants that are being taken from Turkey and Jordan to America so far......… are mostly Sunni Muslim, and are not in any where nearly as much danger as Christians, Ba'hai's, Jews, or members of the LBGT community who live in Iraq or Syria."

    http://www.politicalforum.com/canad...ts-take-937-those-syrian-refugees-canada.html
Mr. Justin Trudeau, let's take 937 of those Syrian refugees to Canada?

(This is set in 1939…… as the M. S. St. Louis passes by the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, but postulates an alternative time line in which the refugees are actually taken to Nova Scotia…… rather than being sent back to Europe. Once in Europe only the 228 who went to England were completely safe from being rounded up again by the Nazis.)

If there were four walls.... .. in the form of a concrete trench and if the trench was filled with ocean water and fish........ and if the trench was in a nation with lots of desert...… .and if there was a glass or plastic panel at the top of the trench to catch water as it evaporated....... the panel could drip the water into the sand outside the trench.

This method could be used to produce fish......… and if done on a large scale could even lower ocean levels and protect communities vulnerable to the collapse of the West Antarctic ice Sheet?!

Thank you for the encouraging reply Draco.

I am trying my best to promote this basic idea to Canada's
Conservative Party leadership as you can see in posts #5 and #7 here:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/canada/477572-kellie-leitch-national-leader-conservative-party.html
Kellie Leitch for National Leader of Conservative Party.

    ......

If we Canadian Conservatives don't find some way to get young people interested in
our political party and movement..... then we are in big trouble for the next election or two or three?!

This option should also be uppermost in the minds of residents of Florida, New Orleans, New Jersey, New York and
all other communities vulnerable to rising ocean levels.

But there are also alternatives and
large scale desalination of ocean water is not
the most cost effective answer in all areas of the world
    experiencing drought.

I listened to 15 minutes of this video. Fifteen minutes of gibberish without ever getting to any point.

I'm not sure what permaculture is (I have suspicions), but this joker is certainly not the one to communicate it.

In its broadest sense, it is to create sustainable ecosystems. In agriculture, that largely means moving to having zero external inputs.

Would "zero external inputs" result in lower yields? Use of fertilizers and GMO crops has saved millions from starvation.

Depends on what you are growing and where. While I do not disagree that chemical fertilizers and GOP crops save lives, the other side of that coin is that a lot of these people really aren't given the realistic choice on producing their own local-grown crops because of factors such as the US either through aid programs or our corporations dumping so much food intermittently onto the third world markets that it disrupts agrarian economies. We are essentially keeping these people from having an agricultural revolution or an industrial one for the benefit of our own growers and industries. Those who do not sell out to ADM get destroyed by them.

This is true over the short term.....
but if the effect of GMO's and chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides
    is considered over centuries.......
we could be setting ourselves up for an economic and agricultural disaster
in the name of saving money over the short term.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/current-events/466314-russia-says-no-gmo-seeds.html

Russia Says No to GMO Seeds

    I hate to admit it.......

but on the issue of GMO seeds........ Russia is far ahead of us and they deserve credit for this stance!

Frankly....... I term myself "pro-life"..... .but if all that is meant by pro-life is to be against
    third term abortions........
and if I support GMO technology by my silence........

then am I a hypocrite to call myself "pro-life?"

This is certainly an up to date problem for the State of Florida as well as New Orleans.
