I'm going to Iceland in July!!!!!!! flight is much cheaper than to Spain and probably all other parts of Europe. tons of amazing natural beauty, hot natural baths, wildlife, and seafood!!!!! and hopefully lots of hot Icelandic ladies. hee hee.
I hear that Iceland just like Greenland use to be green before global freezing. But I digress. Sex and Nudity in Iceland Blog https://guidetoiceland.is/connect-with-locals/nanna/sex-and-nudity
Well remember, the night scene seems to start around midnight and the women are AAAA Nordic stock. https://www.google.com/search?q=ice...CoogTGwILYBA&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1093&bih=506
Have fun. My family history shows we are descended from Vikings, so I want to visit the country. My wife has been there, but the only Icelandic people I knew, were Helga, Inga, and Craig.
Good for you. Awhile ago I read an article on Iceland and was impressed. Awesome nature and just as nice is it's a peaceful country. The crime rate is very low........ I think I'll move there.
Heh. I've thought about getting up there for a visit on occasion. Might have to follow your example! Let us know how it goes.
Thanks, Ronstar. I hope you get to see of Monsters and Men while you are there. Bluespade. Thanks to Youtube, you can take a virtual tour of Iceland at home.
One of my co-workers went there a few years ago--same reason, cheap flights. However, he found that everything was very very expensive there, so I hope you have plenty saved up for food and drinks. I think he said something about a $9 coffee. he cut his trip short to Iceland (he was planning a 3-day layover on the way to Europe, eh ended up doing two days)
I've been to Kevlavik airport while in the USAF. I can recommend Kev Restaurant & Bar and Fernandos Pizza as a couple good eating spots fairly close to the airport. I didn't have the opportunity to really see the country, but I can describe it from the air as beautifully desolate.
I'm thinking to go there too, not impossible in the same period, even if, loving extreme trekking, I cannot exclude I will be there next winter [I've been in Norway in winter to face a challenging climate during my trekking, so Iceland could be an alternative ...]. I know it's a fantastic land to visit [overall in summer] since friends of mine have been there because of business travels and they told me that it deserves a visit ... Sooner or later ... From here to reach Iceland we fly from Milan to Zurich [or München] then to Oslo in Norway then to Reykjavik.
Are you using Groupon? I just saw a trip to Iceland on there for 1,000 flight included 7 days. I wanna goooooooo
I've flown over Wake Island atoll at 30,000 feet. Can't say how desolate it was because it just looked like a tiny dot in the blue Pacific.
From the air, Iceland looks like a planet from a science fiction movie. A lot of fractal patterns from the volcanic activity, both active and extinct. Most of the time say over Reykjavik you fly over areas that have clear human activity ...Iceland's less inhabited areas are other Worldly. I wish I have could have explored more of it from a ground perspective.
Have you ever entered Death Valley, Ca. from the east coming from Beatty, Nv. on Hwy. 374 ? You think you are on another planet, something from out of a sci-fi movie.
The latest volcanic eruption in Iceland near Bárðarbunga was declared done about a month ago. There's no new lava coming out. The area near the volcano has been reopened, save for the actual new lava field, which is still quite hot. And it's still emitting some sulfur dioxide, so local closures could happen.
so....I'm back!! Iceland, is amazing. most amazing scenery I have EVER seen in my life!!! giant fields of cooled lava huuuuge mountains giant rock towers stretching out from the sea. huge black sand beaches...and pebble beaches. giant massive glaciers. I walked on one. amazing giant waterfalls. adorable little horses. gorgeous Icelandic women..who all speak English. however, prices are high. I just added up my CC and debt card spending...i may have spent more than $1,500 in 10 days. ..but this includes lodging.
