    Controversy aplenty in the food industries. In the US, lord alone knows what future issues will arise by giving the likes of Monsanto too much of a free pass, while on this side of the water, you won't find more horse at the Grand National, than you will in supermarket 'beef' products.

    And yet, simply due to a mindset more than anything, we ignore the potential of an entirely natural, protein packed, easy to farm and plentiful food source - insects.

    I know what you are thinking, it sounds gross. Is it any more gross than the idea of eating prawns, crabs, lobster, etc? I don't see much difference, save for in size. Is it any more gross than eating the usual cow ears, eyes, and bull balls that we probably get in our pies and such? I think not.

    Besides, once they had been worked on a bit, the final product need not look like the whole insect.

    Ever seen a squid before a chef has prepared it?
