Not one president in the history of US has 'secured' the border. The whole issue is political football, and many seem to swallow the same claims every time.

One side is incompetent the other side resemble 4chan trolls. I don’t really have much of a choice which is why I am a huge proponent of ranked choice voting.

Or I could use my 25 years experience in this sector, dealing with farmers every day for 25 years from coast to coast tends to give one an understanding of the labor market. Now you probably have zero idea what I'm talking about, so you dismiss on ignorance if you choose.

HB1 visa under Obama 160k, this year it's over 330k now. You see there is little incentive in Red States to hire illegals. Number one you can't write them off as an expense, number 2 in red states we still deport and the sanctuary cities aren't farming towns, Number 3 HB1 visas are legal, and the workers and employers are protected. The workers know they are held to standards of good citizenry, or they get deported. Number 4 you can be selective and actually hire skilled ag workers. No farmers want to wake up and find 30% of their workforce got deported in growing season, that's got disaster written all over it. I'm not saying all laborers are HB1 visas but it's growing leaps and bounds and I see more of them than illegals by far. Now you want to talk construction, I'll agree with you.

Biden is the current POTUS and that makes it his responsibility. Do you really think pointing out the failures of past Presidents is a good argument?

We don’t let criminals out early like dem DA’s do. If Biden wants to keep the illegals and promote them coming across the border then it’s only fair democrats get them in the states that advocate for illegals.

No but some have tried, there's a reason why the numbers are the highest in history under Biden....

What percent of them came through legal ports of entry and requested asylum?

You're asking the wrong question. The issue is how many have crossed the border illegally.

Sure. Too bad that is not the topic.

Asylum seekers are not illegal. But then again, we already talked about that.

Funny, because Trump swore up and down it was highest even when he was president. That would men he was letting in over 1.6 million per year.

As for deportation numbers, - the current ones are highest ever.

Its a fair argument, since no one has succeeded in stopping it. The current admin has captured and sent back more than any other president. so there is what. As for asylum seekers.....you HAVE TO hear them, That's the law, but apparently you don't care for the law. You are being played.

I agree with the deporting part. I believe Abbott learned the busing tactic from CA when they shipped their homeless people to Vegas. I do believe the folks in DC and NYC will never understand what it’s like to have illegals come in uninvited unless they experience it for themselves. Hopefully, this will lead to a unification of both parties on the illegal problem. by the way, I keep hearing your state is primed for shipments of illegals by Biden, middle of the night shipments.

Sorry my post was for MB. On Asylum, you don't have to let them into your country, let them go, then ask them to come back to court a year later to decide if they are really asylum seekers. As far as the S. America asylum seekers, international law says they file for asylum the 1st country they come too, not the second, not the third but the FIRST.

This was an act of genius, it's a great example of Nick Clegg syndrome.

It will be interesting to see. Most progressive leftists are all in favor of any and all immigration, just NIMBY.

I know a few farmers that will put them to work if they come to Tennessee. They won’t get far not working here. I really wish there was some sensible immigration policy that both sides would negotiate on

This thread isn't about illegals on farms.

Well, they filed here so now they need to be heard. Most will likely be sent back.

Maybe he just naturally thought that sanctuary cities made sense.
