So why wasn't your argument based on homosexuality? Shouldn't your answer be based on homosexuality, instead of something differnt?

 

I think the point was that IF one believes that homosexuals are a minority group based on their sexual preference, then so too are pedophiles. Laws forbidding acts of pedophilia are therefore restrictive of the rights of pedophiles. Just as laws forbidding homosexuals from engaging in homosexual acts or marriage are restrictive of the rights of homosexuals. But, pedophiles are not limited to homosexuals, and are considered mentally ill or perverts. Then again, 40 years ago, homosexuality was considered to be a mental illness by the American Psychiatric Association too. Perhaps in 40 years, we will be debating whether or not pedophiles can marry children too.

 

Homosexuality and homosexual acts are legal. Sex with kids is not.

 

When it comes to gay issues, America has always been near the bottom of the First World.

 

A brother an sister can love each other have sex and be consentin adults. They don't have to have children. Sounds pretty sick huh? That's how homosexuality sounds to me. They both have a long history of it happening. Yet one group feels they deserve special rights over another.

homosexuality is not a civil right it's a mental disorder born with or not it needs to be treated and not promoted.

Christie has national political ambitions within the Republican Party, either on Mitt Romney's ticket this year, or running for president himself in 2016. That's really the only reason for this. Christie knows that this veto was wrong, and that it makes him out-of-touch with the people of New Jersey.

But he's more worried about winning over Republican primary voters in Iowa and South Carolina, who aren't going to support someone who signed gay marriage equality into law.

People do not decide rights for minorities or minorities would never have rights. No it doesn't settle it at all.

Heterosexuals should not be pigenholed like Gays.
Because Gays are thoroughly single-minded.They are ALL about
their proclivity or Sex urge.It literally dominates all else in their life.
Heterosexuals have lives outside their Proclivity,whereas Gays do not.

Show me a Gay who does not have sex,or is Asexual.
There are none.There are plenty of Asexuals who are Priests,

Day care and Social Workers,Peace Corps. volunteers who do not
engage in sex and ARE Asexual.
Gays Cannot and can never make that claim.
Because gays are never Asexual.Therefore Gays must act out on their
sexual urge or preference.
Heterosexuals may or may not act out on sexual urges.
Not the case with Gays.

You confuse a heterosexual who chooses not to engage in sexual behavior as being asexual. If your mother were truly asexual you would not exist. Asexuals are, by definition, not heterosexual.

If your mother is truly asexual, and had sex for the purpose of procreation only, without sexual urge, are you also bigoted against your mother? As your mother isn't heterosexual, is she therefore a target of discrimination? I would think not, and I hope you would feel the same, although discrimination of homosexuals would make you a hypocrite.
