Bush is way too authoritarian. Differing opinions affect Bush adversely. Allowing vs. not allowing differing opinions is what makes Trump and Bush so opposite. I'd go so far as to say I have doubts Bush believes in free speech.

That's what I meant. In America ALL of the conservative spectrum, even libertarians, are autocrats. They don't say it much but operationally it's more of a part of American conservatism than any other thing

Libertarians are not autocrats. Libertarians do believe in the rules of The Constitution, for example, just like most other Americans believe in the rules of The Constitution. For example, libertarians believe in defending a nation's borders 'cause a nation can't exist without defending borders...Believing in the rules of The Constitution and believing in defending borders aren't autocratic notions.

 

And most people do nowadays.

 

In a free country borders should be seen as bridges not barriers. The Constitution exists to defend and promote our rights, not restrict them[

 

This is the best way to understand the immigration laws.
1. They are on the books. They still work very well. They are close to the same for over a hundred years.
2. Your residence has doors, windows and locks for all. It does not mean strangers, which illegals are, have the right to enter your residence nor to enter the country that protects your own rights.
3. We do not exist to deliver our rights to other nations who invade America.
4. While you may not mind the drug dealers and supplies, or the sex traffickers getting in, a good many of us want them not allowed in.
5. That is why we have borders and also fences. We even hire men and women to protect our border.

 

Check out Idaho. We live in homes and farms and one notices large plots of land with some very large homes at affordable costs.
