A bailout for their bank is an equivalent since a bank pays its employees. Only the right has a problem connecting those dots.
But it does show how benevolent government becomes when it is the decider of what is fair and what is not fair and then imposes that upon the citizens. Everyone suffers. So what "reforms" on capitalism to make it "fair"?
You have no idea of what you speak or the responsibility of a CEO for which they get paid. The person who allows products to even be made starts with the CEO who makes those decisions of what will be made and where it will be made and how that factory will be built and who it will be funded and how it will make a profit for the shareholders and what will even BE built. And if any other manager could do the job then they wouldn't be paid as the are, the fact is they can't. Managers hit their level of capabilities while CEO's exceed those.
Define "hard". ROFL and exponentially more vital. One wrong decision by a CEO can wreck the entire company costing the shareholders millions if not billions of wealth. ROFL again, no they are not and can be replaced readily from a huge labor pool while the top management cannot.
Yes thanks to the failed policies of this administration we have a huge sector of the population not working or working menial jobs which brings incomes down. The problem is not people at the top making more it's people at the bottom being out of work. Not during times when we had full employment as during the 52 months of full employment during the Bush42 administration. Sorry not how it works.
She wasn't queen when we "separated" so what is your point about us "separating" Me>> Better at what? Can you be more specific. So you couldn't find anything specific, smoke and mirrors as I thought. What specific subsidy to the oil industry? A subsidy is not a tax cut, a subsidy is a direct payment, what are you talking about? It is one of the most regulated markets there is, so how is that working out?
Not directly but, may as well be. - - - Updated - - - So, as long as one isn't FORCED to rape, it's okay. That makes sense.
Good point. Bailouts for the big boys is always acceptable. Socialism is cool when it benefits the very wealthy, so says the right. - - - Updated - - - When the richest of the rich get to decide everything for everybody else, how is that "fair"?
You have internalized the insane propaganda of capitalists and therefore unthinkingly accept what is a self-evidently absurd proposition. Just think about this. If all the high level executives go on holiday tomorrow at any business, could the company still be open for business and function normally? The answer is an unequivocal yes!! If all the workers took a holiday, could the company do the same? The answer is an unequivocal no!! Do executives have important role to play in long-term decisions making and strategy, of course. However, they are irrelevant to the short term functioning of a company. Not only that, but the idea that CEOs are irreplaceable is idiotic. There are a small handful of innovative and creative people who start companies, who would be difficult to replace. People like Steve Jobs, Warren Buffet, etc. However the vast majority of CEOs have the exact same training and way of thinking about the world, as every other executive at their company. They all went to the same business schools, where they were taught the same curriculum. The CEO could be replaced by an executive inside the company or from outside just as easily as a worker could be replaced. Again, you have internalized capitalist propaganda to believe that people at the top are just better than you and deserve more than you. They don't. It is all a lie.
There should be no CEO. Everybody knows their job is to cut jobs and kill people's futures, and they're hardly any 'better' than the average floating slime, known as pond scum. We need them like we need anal cancer.
Come to think of it...I'd rather suffer from anal cancer than have CEO's keep doing what they're doing to everybody else, and be able to jail them. I'd trade it in a heartbeat if I could relegate of all of them to some prison cell for eternity.
Things change guys. All this "Obama did it" and "Bush did it" stuff doesn't really help. Technology is currently rapidly & profoundly changing our socioeconomic situation. Throw in some cheap overseas labor, dumb teachers with undeserved tenures, under the table(out of the fiscal loop) illegals and co-opted union luddites and you have an socio-economic melt-down in the brewing. Add on top of that the expanding welfare debt and the Fed doing it's darnedest to keep up with the leak... well, you know what I mean.
All that dumb teachers undeserved tenures & Union luddites isn't helping to make your case, whatever it is.
