    First credit where it’s due. @mswan posted this in another thread. I suggested he/she create a thread about it. But I reckon I’m a little too impatient.

    Americans hold nearly unanimously unfavorable views of political leaders, but former President Donald Trump stands as the most popular of all politicians in the latest Harvard-Harris poll.

    There were just two American politicians with a net-positive favorability rating and both are popular Republicans: Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis (Plus-6: 34% favorable, 28% unfavorable) and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C. (Plus-3: 23% favorable, 20% unfavorable).

    But Trump's popularity soars above all on favorability. Trump has the highest "very" favorable rating (26%). He is 42% favorable when you include the 16% who responded he was "favorable."

    So that we don’t have any Wendy Whiners in here talking about the source being bias… here is the source link to the poll that Harvard did.

    I would be happy with Trump or De Santis or Tim Scott. We are going to take back the White House with any or all of them.

    I am so happy to see the same people that screamed for four years that polls were all fake news suddenly expressing the belief that polling is relevant and to be relied on.

    trump has a very steadfast base, that was indicated when he told his supporters he would pay for their legal bills if they assaulted others, attacked our electoral process and then plotted to overturn a nation election that effectively ousted him, his agenda and his magapatriots.

    This is what to be expected when people put bumper sticker slogans and a man above their party and their nation

    There have been other notable figures throughout history with similar levels of support regardless of action.

    That's great, but it doesn't matter unless we deport illegals, build a wall, throw criminals in jail, declare a new war on drugs and prosecute like mad.

    It is feeling like 1980 again when the liberal failures were so massive they had to hide under a rock for the next 15 years.

    ~ DeSantis needs to stay put in Florida. He is young and has time . Trump/Scott would be excellent — as many Democrats will likely vote republican Scott would appeal to their ' Obama hangover ' . :aww:

    He will be too old. It's too bad. I'm sure he has had time to reflect on how he would build his cabinet the second time and truly drain the swamp. I hope he and Ron stay close.

    If there is one thing the left does well it is load their cabinets will radicals. Conservatives should do the same. Guys like Rex Tillerson, come on.

    I agree. If the left is freely allowed to load their party up with radicals then the right should follow suit. It’s only fair.

    Weren’t you the poster than made a OP about how everything needed to stop being political and we needed to “work together” and now hoping that trump get re-elected so he can “own the libz” for another 4 years?

    I would never hope a politician was elected to directly injure Republicans, most democrats just want someone that will make improvements in healthcare, education and protect what they consider one of the most important rights — bodily autonomy. I don’t think I have ever heard a Democrat express support for a candidate just to upset Republicans. I have also never seen a Democratic president express or highlight that the only good Republican is a dead one.

    Such a fascinating yet sad narrative. If the nation doesn’t completely reject this agenda this county will fall.

    I'll be kind and just say Trump is not presidential material - I would prefer another candidate.

    The only reason I would want Trump to win is for the sheer entertainment value he would bring to this forum. I'd well imagine some of our left-of-center posters looking like Alien popping outta their bodies.

    I don’t think he will be to old at all, he certainly has the energy. But ultimately I think DeSantis is the better choice simply due to the lack of hate he garners from the irrational left.

    If he were to win you would see that change very quickly.

    He would become the new object of hate from the left.

    He already gets a pretty good amount of it just for being a state Governor.

    It's almost like they can smell he is a threat to their agenda.

    They fear what they do not understand, that fear causes them to lash out in anger.

    What's with the Tim Scott mania? Trump and DeSantis are populist nationalists, and Scott is establishment GOP. I could see grouping Scott with Lindsey Graham, but Trump and DeSantis?
