nine people on board, eight survivors...

Loretta Fuddy, a Hawaiian health official who in 2011 was briefly in the national spotlight when she verified the authenticity of President Obama's birth certificate and authorized the release of information about it, died Wednesday in the crash of a small plane off the island of Molokai.

one of three people I think, who claims to have seen in the original in the book, you know... if there is one...

why isn't this in conspiracy theories/ other/ miscellaneous yet ?...

any cia on that plane ? I mean culinary institute of America of course. the obots will say the birthers did it to put the story back in the headlines, I'm sure...

from snopes, that bastion of credibility and objective reporting...

Origins: In April 2011, President Barack Obama sought to put end to rumors claiming that he was not a natural-born citizen of the United States by obtaining and releasing a copy of his long form birth certificate issued by the state of Hawaii. Officials from that state certified that the copy of the certificate they provided to President Obama was authentic:
The Hawaii State Health Department recently complied with a request by President Barack Obama for certified copies of his original Certificate of Live Birth, which is sometimes referred to in the media as a "long form" birth certificate.

"We hope that issuing certified copies of the original Certificate of Live Birth to President Obama will end the numerous inquiries related to his birth in Hawaii," Hawaii Health Director Loretta Fuddy said. "I have seen the original records filed at the Department of Health and attest to the authenticity of the certified copies the department provided to the President that further prove the fact that he was born in Hawaii."

On April 25, 2011, pursuant to President Obama's request, Director Fuddy personally witnessed the copying of the original Certificate of Live Birth and attested to the authenticity of the two copies. Dr. Alvin Onaka, the State Registrar, certified the copies.

this narrative is becoming hauntingly familiar...

maybe i'll be glad when this thread gets relegated to the conspiracy basement... i'll bet someone on that plane has ties to Chicago....

The plane, carrying a pilot and eight passengers, went down Wednesday in the water a half mile off the Hawaiian island of Molokai, the Maui Fire Department said. The lone fatality was Loretta Fuddy, who has served as state health director since January 2011. Tom Matsuda, the interim executive director of Hawaii's health insurance exchange, confirmed Fuddy's death.

"What he reported is after takeoff ... there was catastrophic engine failure," Schuman said. "He did the best he can to bring the aircraft down safely and he got everybody out of the aircraft."

catastrophic engine failure reported after takeoff.... :blankstare: there will be no investigation... he did the best he can...

    how much is enough America??

Schuman said the plane had no previous problems.

"There's only one engine on that plane and when it quits on you, you just have to deal with it in that moment," he said.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said investigators planned to speak with the pilot and some passengers on Thursday.

The location of the wreckage, combined with wind and wave conditions, likely means it won't be recoverable, NTSB spokesman Eric Weiss added.

"We handle lots of investigations in which the airplane is not recoverable," he said. "The fact gathering on the ground continues."

the airplane will be buried at sea....

Scott is just pretty excited that his thread wasn't immediately relegated to the Conspiracy theory section- give him a break- this is something that hasn't happened to him for years.

As I've mentioned in one of my related posts, the infamous Obama's birth certificate is undoubtedly home made, and it has nothing to do where the moron Obama was born. What are the real reasons behind the fake, we'll find together with the name of the freshly minted Pulitzer prize winning journalist who'll dig deep enough and stay alive for long enough.

Surprising the 'bots havent gotten this thread deleted yet. They do hate to see people allowed to talk about their hero's birth certificate.

RIP Ms Fuddy. We'll add you to the list of people no longer able to verify Baracks birth.

    Talk away.

Once again- it is my sincere desire that Republican and Tea Party candidates talk about the Birth Certificate loud and often.

For bonus points they can stomp their feet and demand Obama's kindergarten records again.

Birthers are perceived as con-men and gullible fools. I am okay with the Tea Party riding that train.

Afraid you'll be continually disappointed as other than Trump nobody runs on the Liberal spawned train of Birtherism.

    Con men and gullible fools?

You mean like ,"if you like your current plan, you can keep your current plan?"

Liars lie. People who expect them to tell the truth are the gullible fools.

yet another totally irrelevant response with the mandatory obamacare reference.

After all everyone knows that the commie kenyan muslim only created obamacare to make the US a third world nation, in the same fashion as the pinkos made every other industrialized and civilized nation on earth slaves to universal healthcare.

Birthers - a source of never ending amusement with the occasional bit of stupendous idiocy for spice.

If it were true, it does not have to be a conspiracy but rather a benevolent act on behalf of the hospital (and one that saves both them and the state one heck of a lot of red tape) to ensure baby Barrack got full rights as a 'home birth' with no doctor in attendance to verify it but, it being of no consequence the mother could have gone in a few days later and most certainly explained the situation and gotten an Hawaiian birth certificate. Subsequently, if this were the case, the birth as such would have simply been added to the names which would automatically appear in the newspaper.

In any case, to my knowledge and, other than birther rantings, no record of his mother taking a trip at that or any other time is found so I doubt that she was anywhere other than in the US during his birth. I'm sure that is not the case and as far as I and the Republican and Tea party are concerned he is a bonafide natural born US citizen.

As for the Liberals being the originators of this conspiracy ....

LOL.....now you think that Trump is a liberal? A ego driven liar yes, but liberal he is not.

There are no rational supporters of Birthers- Republicans for the most part treat them like lepers. But Birthers keep telling us any day now someone is going to believe them....

    Nope which is why I referenced Trump when I replied to this statement;

"Once again- it is my sincere desire that Republican and Tea Party candidates talk about the Birth Certificate loud and often. "

Trump is right wing however, the birther movement was started by Liberals.

Funny you should mention that. Dwight Eisenhower was born at home in Texas in 1890. His birth certificate was issued in 1952, based upon the testimony of his brother- who was 2 years old when he was born.

Can you even imagine how Birthers would react if that had been the situation for Obama?

But it isn't- Obama's birth certificate was registered at his birth- signed by a doctor, filed with the State of Hawaii, and reported to the newspapers.

Birthers have never had proof of any previous President's eligiblity.....and accepted every one. But Obama- they have seen the proof, verified by the state of Hawaii, confirmed by newspaper reports from 1961 and they reject every official bit of evidence, but cling to any piece of innuendo, rumor.....anything that gives them hope that somehow Obama can't possibly be President.

Or we could go with the actual origins......

    http://barackryphal.blogspot.com/2011/06/secret-origin-of-birthers.html

And that rumor first appeared in the early hours of Saturday, March 1, 2008, on the conservative web forum, FreeRepublic.com. In a thread entitled “FR CONTEST: Pin the Middle Name on the Obama,” where posters were offering various 'funny' middle names for Barack Obama in lieu of “Hussein,” a poster named “FARS” posted this non-sequitur:

I was told today that Obama swore in on a Koran for his Senate seat. I do not believe he did. Can someone clarify this for me? I am under the impression only a Congressman has so far sworn in on a Koran.

Also that Obama’s mother gave birth to him overseas and then immediately flew into Hawaii and registered his birth as having taken place in Hawaii.

Again, any clarifications on this? Defintely disqualifies him for Prez. There must be some trace of an airticket. While small babies are not charged air fare they do have a ticket issued for them.

Long time ago but there may be some residual information somewhere. Good ammo (if available and true) BEST USED AFTER he becomes PREZ (if that occurs) and it’s too late for Dems - except accept the VP.

Most of the essential elements of the rumor are here, from the immediate flight to Hawaii for registration to the eligibility concerns. All that is lacking is a specific reference to Kenya, which we’ll see was remedied shortly thereafter. He acknowledges that Obama’s public biography states that he was born in Honolulu, and he alleges that the public biography is false. He actively endorses the idea of Obama’s family covering up a birth in Kenya, and as such, is proposing a conspiracy theory.

Importantly, despite being the first person, anywhere, to report this rumor, he cites no source for it. No news report, or broadcast program, or website. Only “I was told today.” The fact that it appears alongside the oft-repeated and equally oft-debunked false rumor that Obama took his oath of office on a Koran illustrates the level of FARS’ willingness to factcheck rumors before repeating them.

There is lots more to the article, but it does a nice job of tracking it all down.

The Birther movement was started by Conservatives, and Birthers are almost exclusively Conservatives of the wing nut branch. There have been minor Republican state legislators and Republican wing nut candidates who have pandered to Birthers, but mainstream Republicans treat them like the political lepers that they are.

Birthers keep expecting that any day now, Republicans in Congress will become Birthers, and there is a part of me that hopes that Cruz or one of the others will take up the Birther mantle.

Seems tempting to accept this as a conspiracy, but that's entirely speculative. No matter how odd it seems, we need evidence. We have none.

That's the problem with most conspiracy theories, they rarely have the evidence to back up what they're claiming. It's always a "cmonnnn, how unlikely is that!" argument. Odd things happen a lot - especially when we can report them all via the internet.

Sometimes it's just a plane crash. Until we have evidence otherwise, meh.
