According to cons it's the person that's dangerous, so the female will do just fine.

That is utter nonsense. Your point was that only a very few number of guns are used to shoot people. Who cares what the exact number is? I responded that the number of airbags that deploy in cars is also small.

Point being that it makes absolutely no difference if the number is small (even less so the exact number). We don't know which are going to be used to kill people (just like we don't know which airbags will save lives). So the way to ameliorate the problem is to restrict their sale.

Of course that was your point! But it's an inane point.

You only need ONE gun to go on a mass shooting. And 100 to go on 100 mass shootings. And 400 (about the national yearly average) to go on 400 mass shootings. So who cares how many of them are actually used in proportion to how many exist? And even less how many are NOT used.

Seattle in fact did not defund police. Seattle cut 20% of the budget. That isn’t defunding. To defund is to prevent from continuing to receive funds. Seattle PD is still receiving funds albeit less than in the past. Which is still stupid. Police departments should get more funding as it’s clear they are under trained.

Too funny. Cutting the budget isn't defunding.

No city has completely defunded the police, in the manner you're talking about. They want the white cops to still walk the street incapable of defending themselves or arresting any criminals. That's rather the point.

Correct, cutting a budget isn’t defunding. To defund is to prevent from continuing to receive funds. They are still getting funds therefore they aren’t being defunded.

I realize you have limited knowledge of firearms and believe that "AR" rifles are somehow different. Other than appearance, they are not. While you may have a genuine concern for human life, you cannot show how gun control reduces murder. The AR platform is simple and any amateur with a drill press can make one. 3D printers ensure criminals will always have them.

The "defund the police" misnomer was a clever ruse on the part of Repubs to confuse voters about the actual goals of police reform. And it worked. Otherwise, Dems would have done better in congressional elections.

    Keep throwing those softballs.

Three types of laws could reduce gun deaths by more than 10%

Clever dodge. Gun control is not from a position of concern for human life.

You have not shown that to be true. I can easily shop the opposite.

I could not give more of a crap! The sale of ANY firearm designed to kill as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time should be banned.

Oh... that's soooo easy. It's much more difficult to take human life if you don't have a firearm. The harder it is to get one, the more likely they will be either caught, or they might think it over if it's worth the effort... jumping off a bridge is easier than suicide by cop. Unless it's so easy to get a firearm (as it is here in Florida) that they are both equally doable.

And they can drill one if we DON'T ban the sale of AR's too. So that's an absurd argument. But it's easier to just run down to the your neighborhood firearm dealer... Less likely the gun will explode in your hands before killing anybody else (other than the shooter) But obviously drilling firearms needs to be outlawed. Making it more difficult is the objective.

Emotional reactions are no substitute for a sound argument. Gun control is not a position of concern for human life and you help prove that with every post. Gun bans don't stop criminals from getting guns or make it harder; they only stop those following the law.

The "Absurd" argument got you to admit it is true. The bans you propose do nothing to stop criminals from "drilling" or 3D printing firearms. Improvised firearms are not a new thing.

Gun control is not from a position of concern for human life. Unfortunately, human life is delicate and doesn't take much to end. Everything you propose benefits killers.

And again, as per the norm, you can't argue without taking things out of context. Why can't you be honest?

    So, you're saying you care.

Obama gave fully automatic weapons to drug cartels.

Yet it was you who used the example of a young woman defending herself from having a crime committed on her. The "good guy with a gun" fairy tale being a popular rationalization for those of you who are all too happy to jeopardize the safety of the general public in order to indulge your need for a false sense of security.

I can't help noticing you've avoided the data I've proved driving a truck over your numerous, erroneous positions. For one who enjoys accusing others of dodging things you seem quite well practiced at it.

You cannot show that to be true. The example I gave shows who gun laws benefit. CCW holders are least likely to commit crime. Look it up.

My position remains solid. You have posted nothing that refutes the fact that gun control is not from a position of concern for human life. Please show how being unarmed makes innocent people safer.
