Hello Iam a realist person by nature. Iam neither liberal nor republican , as I see only men who are power hungry in office now. I hope to teach people a new way of thinking, not to follow someone because they claim to have similar beliefs as you do. I look at actions far more than words, as words can never prove anything they are just thoughts used to control other peoples thoughts. I hope in this forum we can have serious and smart disscusions without dumb ranting and raving. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and I look forward to your response.

I usually tune people out when they start talking like this. It's really just a way to try to feel superior to other people. In truth, you do lean a certain direction you just haven't thought about it long enough.
Common sense? Good idea and good luck. I have been here for a few weeks and I'm seriously shocked by the amount of superficial, simple (and close) minded black and white thinking I have encountered so far. Lots of hardliners of whatever kind here. It seems the reasonable folks that are actually able to have a normal discussion are the minority.....or maybe they don't scream loudly enough.
Outstanding, but brace yourself....common sense is of short supply here, realistically speaking. there are some open-minded folks here. You aren't from Indiana by some chance, are you? ..the last bastion of what remains of common sense. (watch the reply to this)

Welcome to the forum. While your goals are honorable, they may be a bit unrealistic around here, and actually kind of arrogant the way you stated it. But good luck. You will find a LOT of people who are just here to insult "the other team"(as they see it). Sadly, they have little to say other than "Liberals are ruining the country" or "Republicans are stupid". But there are also many who, like myself, think outside the left/right paradigm, and those will be the people you will primarily be able to have meaningful discussions with. The rest are just regurgitated talking points.
