Read the commentary below which casts a different light on the Russian probe by Robert Mueller.
There is some rather interesting information about the 'Trump Dossier' that may actually tend to favor him - and possibly make Mueller's time wasteful.

[IMG]Special counsel Robert Mueller’s witch hunt against Trump is heating up. He’s impaneled a grand jury and experts believe he is on the road to indictments. Now one development turned the entire investigation upside down. Christopher Steele’s dossier is at the heart of the Russia probe.
House Republicans staffers secretly traveled to London to track him down.
    Politico reports:

“Two Republican House Intelligence Committee staffers traveled to London earlier this summer to track down the former British intelligence operative who compiled a controversial dossier on President Donald Trump and Russia, according to three people familiar with the matter.
The previously unreported trip underscores the importance of the 35-page dossier Christopher Steele wrote last year to Congressional probes into possible collusion between Moscow and the 2016 Trump campaign.
It has also inflamed simmering tensions between House and Senate investigators as they pursue parallel probes into the Trump-Russia connection. House Intelligence Committee Republicans did not tell Democrats on the House panel, the Senate Intelligence Committee nor special counsel Robert Mueller’s office that the investigators were pursuing Steele.
The House staffers left their contact information at two addresses associated with Steele, a former agent for Britain’s MI6 foreign intelligence service. One of those locations was Steele’s lawyer’s office, where the former spy was meeting with his counsel when the House investigators showed up.”

His 35-page fake news document was originally used to launch accusations that the Russians had compromising information on Trump and that his associates colluded with Moscow during the election
The dossier was discredited, but it was too late for Trump as the media and the FBI ran with it as the basis for alleging the Trump campaign had colluded with the Russians to rig the election.
But disturbing questions surround the dossier.
Fusion GPS – which commissioned the Steele dossier – was also on the payroll to lobby against the Magnitsky Act.
That is the same legislation a Russian lawyer met with Donald Trump, Jr. about.
Was Fusion GPS being paid by the Russians to spread disinformation about Trump?
If true, that would cast doubt on the whole narrative that Russia “meddled” in the 2016 election to help Trump.
Republicans want to track Steele down to get to the bottom of his dossier.
If the contents of his memo were all just nonsense, then the evidence that set this Russia investigation – and that led to Mueller’s probe – was nothing more than fake news.
It would drive a stake through the heart of the narrative surrounding this investigation and expose Mueller’s probe as nothing more than a politically motivated hit job against Trump - and publicity for Mueller.
